This was the last leg of our journey and having travelled across Spain we were looking forward to a few relaxing days. The Hotel receptionist was rude and uncaring when we complained that we had no sea view (although that was what we booked). She really didn't care less. The room was small, cramped and uninviting. The walls were paper thin and we were woken by drunken arguments. The food in the restaurant was very 'hit and miss' and I certainly would never recommend it or go back if they paid me. Shame they have spolit it because the beach location was good.

Just come back from a really good girls weekend away (18/04/08) .The hotel was clean the staff very friendly and the food was good. Only thing that spoilt the holiday was the weather rained solid for 2 days
Hotel was more geared up to cater for the older person 60+

We arrive at this hotel on the 15th March and stayed for 6 days.

On arrival we were greeted at the reception by the lovely manager who very promptly helped us with our luggage to the room.

Our room was very light and bright with lots of room to move around and very clean and comfortable. My only complaint was the lady above us liked to walk around from 6.30am in high heels and it occasionally woke us up.

The restaurant was good and the food (although quite similar from day to day) was in abundance. It was always fresh and was lovely.

All the staff were extreemly friendly and could not do enough for you.

The bar area was good and my husband was very happy that there was a lot of Cruzcampo (especially in the happy hour).

BEcause the weather wasn't very hot we only went to the pool area for a look around and they were in the middle of some repair works and general maintenace.

The hotel is a little further away the harbour and 24 hour square than we were told by the brochure, it's a good 20-30 minute walk to the harbour a little less maybe to the square.

A short walk over a road and you are on the beach and opposite the hotel is the lovely Castel Bil Bil.

There a a number of bus stops a couple of minutes walk from the hotel to take you to Torremolinos, Fuengerola, Marbella and Puerto Banus.

I short walk up the hill behind the hotel is the beautiful park where they have turtles and wild chicken and rabbits and a beautiful cactus garden. Across from here is a sealife centre.

This hotel is lovely for all your needs and is in a really good place to appreciate the quieter side of Benalmadena.

“Lovely! And I'm Fussy!”

My family and I (2 adults and 2 children age 11 and age 2) stayed here during the half term break. We stayed for a week on a half board basis. On arrival we were allocated a lovely big family room which was split into two parts so great for some privacy. The whole hotel is lovely and clean (and I'm fussy!) although the lifts are tiny! The rooms have fridges, air con and hair dryers. The only negative I can possibly mention is that the hotel is on quite a busy road and our room was at the front. I'm a light sleeper so didn't get much sleep the first night. I asked if we could be moved to a quieter room the next morning and the reception staff were extremely helpful and within 2 hours we were in a different room at the side overlooking the pool. Unfortunately not a family room but still an adequate triple with a cot. The staff I found to be polite and helpful at all times. We had terrible weather for 3 days so they allowed us to use the sister hotel just down the road to which had an indoor pool. Looks a bit dodgy from the outside leading up to it but lovely when you got there! We also used the local train service to visit some nearby places. The trains are cheap, always on time and clean - puts us to shame! The food is very typical of this type of holiday but the selection was always a couple of fish dishes, different meats, different types of potato and lots of salad and some of the best fruit I've ever had! Yes you do get some odd things served occasionally but hey - if you want English food - stay in England!! This is the third time we have been to Benalmadena and by far the best hotel we have stayed in. I can't comment on the entertainment as we had a little one we were in our room by 9 every night!! If you want a mad 'Brits Abroad' holiday this is probably not for you as most of the guests seemed older but I hate all that so it was lovely for us!

Booked with Jet2 holidays. when we arrived at the hotel there was no porterage we had to struggle in a tiny lift. The room we were given was tiny (we were told by reception all the rooms were the same) the walls were waffer thin and not sound proofed.
The food was cold (no under dish heating did not comply with EU
rules on min temperature) the food was reused the following day (peas cooked in oil mixed with scrambled egg the following day).
After 2 dinners we ate out.
The reception staff were arrogant and unhelpful.
No Jet2 staff available at hotel or by phone to arrange a hotel transfer or early flight home.
The hotel is a 2 star masquerading as 4 star.
