We stayed at this hotel last week in August, our appartment was very clean and the staff were really friendly. The swimming pool was checked daily to make sure that it was ok to use. We had a brilliant time and the kids had a really fab holiday. I would definatley reccommend this hotel for families. There is a hill up to the hotel which isnt that bad, its good to work off the dinner but there is a way through the garage which I had read in some reveiws that it was creepy but it was nothing of the sort, it was fine. The air conditioning really helped aswell and we had a balcony with a sea veiw.

Make no mistake, this is a four star complex, but only just. It has all the amenities to get that rating but their are things missing that other 4 star places have. We enjoyed our stay, in fact we had a fantastic time. We made a request for a room on a high floor with a sea view and we got it, which had the added bonus of a pool view too. The room had a fold down double sofa bed for the kids and the bedroom was the old 2 singles pushed together. The beds in the bedroom were very firm. It didn't suit us but it may suit you. Plenty of storage drawers and a large wardrobe. Well equipped kitchenette and a lovely little bathroom with built in hairdryer and a few handy toiletries. The room was serviced every day, beds made up (fresh sheets twice during our 10 night stay) floors mopped, fresh towels every day, surfaces wiped down and toilet roll replenished. The staff were always very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the pool bar staff, even the maintenance guys always had a friendly Ola'. The pool was a decent size with a little baby pool beside it. Their was usually enough sun loungers unless you came down quite late. There was also a garden area for a quieter sun bathe. The whole area had sun almost all day until about 7 o'clock. Some areas got a bit of shade but not for long. The hotel entertainment wasn't great. It didn't bother us as we were out most nights. They held a mini disco which my 3 yr old enjoyed one night and then on 3 nights of the week there was visiting entertainers. Magician (didn't see it) Flamenco dancers (ok) and the Allen Show (????). There is a time table for entertainment supposedly taking place all day every day but all I saw was the odd game of Water Basket getting played which my 10 yr old enjoyed. There is a games room and play room which the Boy visited but when I called to check on him there didn't seem to be that much happening, though he did say it was a welcome change and he had fun. The entertainment staff were quite nice though and you could see they were trying. We tried the hotel food once and it was ok. Nothing fantastic but certainly enjoyable. It was reasonably priced at about 30 euro for the four us for a 3 course all you can eat buffet meal. The hill mentioned in previous reviews is nothing. Yes it's a bit steep but it's only a short distance. The access through the garage is handy if your carrying groceries (super market is near the hotel, DIA) or you have sleepy kids. It can be accessed until 11pm. There is also a secure gate half way up the hill which leads you to the garden area. The hotel location is across the road from the beach with a bus stop at the bottom of the hill. Close to a well stocked and reasonably priced super market. It's at the end of the main strip with bars restaurants and beach shops leading you on an approx 30 mins walk to the Marina. We got a taxi to the marina most evenings at a cost of 15 euros return.

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms have sea and pool views. Rooms on the 1st floor open onto the pool area.

Family of four stayed for 1 week at the end of August on a good value package deal. The Apartment was spotless and cleaned daily/clean towels. The room was perhaps on the small side but adequately equipped with a nice sea view to the side of the balcony.
The staff were quietly efficient. The Location of the hotel is great, just out of the away enough from the noise of a fairly busy road, but literally five minutes walk to the beach, local shops and a decent selection of restaurants. There's a supermarket also just around the corner for those like us who were self catering. Access to the lift from the ground floor can be gained at the rear of the hotel to avoid the short but fairly steep incline.
The Hotel is around 25 minutes walk to the Marina/Restaurants & Shopping Area.
We ate only once at the Vistamar, just a bar lunch, it wasn't great to be honest and more expensive than nearby alternatives.
Would definitely stay at this hotel again though, we had a thoroughly enjoyable break. One slight complaint was the availability of sunbeds. The poolside area isn't huge compared to the size of the hotel, and it proved difficult to get a bed, annoyingly due to the
number of other hotel guests 'reserving' beds with a towel at or presumably before 10 O'Clock when the pool opens', and then leaving them unattended for most of the day.

Other than that, a thumbs up all round !!

travelled with A1 travel - who were really helpful.
A 4 start appartment - room cleaned daily, the maid learnt we didn't always get up early, so never disturbed us. sheets were changed at least 4 times during our 10 day stay. the room was well equiped and we had plenty of space.
My husband & I travelled with our 17 yr old daughter who found the pull out double bed in the lounge, very comfortable -but it would have been a bit cosey to share it.
The reception staff were really helpful, telling us about local bus services etc.
WE had several trips; Granada was amazing & really worth while. A day in Malaga city was superb, helped by the last day of the summer festival, but we will be going back to malaga for a long weekend as so much to do there. Cordoba was also a good day out.
the beach was close and even in August never felt packed. the pool was spotless, didn't always get a sun bed, but plenty of room in the garden area to get a shady spoy under a tree which was lovely.
Choice of restaurents in the marina area was great, and had some good food. also loved St Tropez fish restaurent on the promenade, it must be good as always packed with locals.

Room Tip: Its on the quieter side of the resort, but a lovely 20 min stroll to the main areas meant it was ver...

Stayed at this hotel with my partner and 2 children at the end of July. After reading a few negatives about this hotel we arrived with some doubt in our minds but after we checked in I was impressed with the hotel. Very clean, room was spotless and spacious. The staff here are very good at what they do and give a first rate service would definitely go back
