Having decided last minute to book a week away for some sunshine we found ourselves staying at the Bali Hotel on an all inclusive holiday.
The hotel is on a slight hill, but easily manageable, even my mother-in-law who uses 2 sticks managed okay, with a rest on the way up, as the incline is steep but not long.
Firstly I cannot fault the view from our room, we were overlooking the harbour and sea and loved waking up to that in the morning, couldn't have been better.
The rooms were clean, but old fashioned and although perhaps recently painted, seemed to have been done cheaply and in an awful orange colour, the main thing was that it was clean, so not going to worry about decor not being to my taste! Lots of people commented about the rooms needing soundproofing, we actually were lucky as didn't experience this, but had an end room so only neighbours (quiet) on one side.
Food - the food in the restaurant, was typical Spanish all inclusive, there was always plenty of choice, although lunch particularly gets very repetative, but I have found this to be the same in the other All Inclusive hotels in Spain. The waiters in the restaurant were lovely, really helpful and pleasant. The restaurant manager did a good job of ensuring people were dressed appropriately to enter the dining room and was quick to get rid of the couple who decided to throw food at each other (too much pop) causing a mess and embarrassment to us Brits.
Entertainment was also pretty standard, nothing to write home about, and the inside room had a lot of pillars making view not too good unless you got in the room extra early for a seat, I suspect entertainment is much better during high season and using the outdoor stage/seating area.
The pool area in the block we were in was in dire need of some work, it was very scruffy and not at all a nice place to sit, we used the other pool, where the kiddies pool was and that was much more pleasant with views of the sea.
All in all, I have to be fair and say that the hotel was not for me, but I personally am not a fan of All Inclusive properties full of Brits, we only tend to stay in them as a cheap option for a last minute week away in the sun. I prefer to dine out in the evening and stay in smaller, quiet hotels.
I do believe that holidaymakers who enjoy Spain and All Inclusive Hotels will not have too many complaints about this hotel.
