My friends and I went to la fonda apartments for 4 nights for my friends 25th birthday. we got a taxi from the airport and the taxi driver stopped near some shops and apperated to ask for directions dispite there being road signs, we appeared to know nore of where it was. When we got to the hotel to get our apartment key we was met by a grumpy looking bloke who got out a map and drew on it where we were to go...... well after 30 mins of walking up and down hills and steps with all our luggage we went back to the hotel and asked someone to take us to the apartment as we couldn't find it. The apartment was clean and tidy and had a TV. It was comfy and with the heater we were warm (It was mid december).
After unpacking we went to the hotel to ask directions for the supermarket (maccadonna) the man pointed us in the right direction. We walked for about 45 mins and still didn't reach it. We called in a golf club type place and they informed us that it would be easier to catch a bus as it was still quite a way away. They also told us that it would not be open anyway as it was a bank holiday. We caught a bus back and went to the hotel again where they confirmed this, they gave us a small bottle of water each and as everywhere was shut we couldn't get any food or drink fror the rest of the day. Luckily a restaurant was open in the evening. We had a good night out and returned to the apartment. There was some other guests that had some arguments and fights although I didn't have a clue what they were saying it was very entertaining.
The place is good to stay at if you only use the apartment as a base. We were out most of the time catching busses to various locations such as the theme park (tivoli world) and selwo marine world and of course shopping and drinking places.
Please remember that alcohol measures are non existent in spain! I was drinking cocktails etc and was ill for ages and normally I can drink loads!
