Following a 4 night break to this apartment/hotel I have to say we were left disappointed and felt it only fair to put our comments on here to let others know what to expect - not something I would usually do.

On arrival we were told that there had been "an accident" and the main hotel had been closed down so we were being allocated an apartment in another block.

A bit worried we enquired on the "accident" to be told that a water pipe had burst and was a very big job to fix so the hotel had to close down. This meant there were no additional facilties on site such as the pool, pool bar etc which was very disappointing due to the location of the apartments.

The pool was green and the bar area all shut up and a 30 min walk each day or taxi ride was needed to get to the main facilites in the resort.

Breakfast was served to our room each morning consisting of juice, coffee, and toast.

The apartment we were given was very clean, modern and well equiped and if not for the lack of facilities especially the pool I would have happily recommended this apartment.

It also appeared that the apartment block was up for sale which was also worrying - left a few unanswered questions to the sustainability of this hotel.

Lovely 1 bedroom apartment - clean, beds really comfortable, lovely bedding and towels, friendly staff, close to good beach, quiet area, nice terrace. Bus stops nearby. Supermarket just up the road. Maid service every day, towels changed mid week. Small.

However, not suitable for disabled or those with low mobility - about 15 steps to get up to reception (lifts inside) but if reception closed there are 130 steps to walk up to get to alternative door. May also have difficulty with small children getting up steps. Not much in the way of cooking utensils; microwave oven, but no instructions - staff didn't know how to use it either! Had to ask for towelling robes, whilst in quiet area can hear everything from other apartments, especially if light sleeper- chairs scraping, people walking with heeled shoes, music, TV etc. Lots of new apartments, but small pool.

Room Tip: Try top floor - only got noise from below!

These apartments seem brand new. Located away from the trashy touristy part of Benalmadena, but a short bus ride or maybe 30 min walk to central Benalmadena Costa. Well equipped, you can easily self cater. Good size fridge. Coffee machine is one of those filter machines that never seem to work well. We only used it on the first morning then went to a little local cafe called el gato Negro for caffiene fix each morning. Would be great if the rooms came with Nespresso machine! Comfy bed, great terrace with partial view over the Mediterranean sunset. Good bathroom, nice thick towels. Supermarket 2 min walk away. Friendly helpful staff. Wifi is patchy and doesn't work more than it works. Were told by staff that this is because im using an apple device. However there is a good desktop computer available 24/7 you can use. We were there in winter so the pool was green, not sure why they wouldn't keep it clean over winter but a lot of hotels in the area seem to do this. Amazing value at 55€ a night (low season, discounted rate for stay of more than 5 nights). Highly recommended!

Just came back from a week spent here - i think this is the best place to stay near the beach not only because of the price but because it is quiet and absolutely new - not the usual 1000room spanish concrete hotels. pros: - excellent overall quality especially for the price - good views from the terrace - beaches are very close including a fairly hidden one. supermarket is superclose (though it is closed on sunday) - their airport transfer service is very good, need a car or use public transport to get to the marina and to dine/bars. Rooms great quailty with very good fittings including a combined oven / mircowave. Would stay again when in area.

Room Tip: Rooms facing road get sun in the afternoon on balcony. sunbeds great just need more.

Just came back from a weekend i spent here - i think this is the best place to stay near the beach not only because of the price but because it is quiet and absolutely new - not the usual 1000room spanish concrete hotels.

pros:
- excellent overall quality especially for the price
- good views from the terrace
- beaches are very close including a fairly hidden one - i was lucky on saturday, mostly local nice girls topless lying around without the usual massive tourist swarm. unfortunately judging from sunday this was an exception
- supermarket is superclose (though it is closed on sunday)
- their airport transfer service is very good and costs only 22 euros - much better than taxi and way cheaper

cons:
- the road next to the hotel is quite busy but it is noticable only on the terrace
- need a car or use public transport to get to the marina and stuff
