“Fabulous !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

Strolling around the backstreets of Benalmadena Pueblo we happened upon this small place doing a great offer of 3 tapas plus a drink for just €7. Their tapas was slightly different from the norm and was absolutely delicious. Service was also very good. Overall highly recommended.

“The best spanish food in Benalmadena”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Just come back from Benalmadena where I stumbled across this place. The food is wonderful and such good value. The range of tapas was good and interesting. The calamari with chilli incredible as was the choritzo and the salt cod and chickpea stew. For 7.5 euros for 3 tapas and a glass of wine it is excellent value. So good that I went back again!

“A hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

We stumbled upon this place as we walked through benalmadena. It is set in a beautiful little square surrounded by orange trees. We stopped by as we saw the 3 tapas dishes for 7€ deal. It certainly was a deal as there was lots of choice and all top quality and quite unique, not your average tapas. We had a vegetable fill pastry tube (Moroccan style), prawn skewers, salt cod and chickpea stew, Greek salad, Russian salad, BBQ ribs, stay chicken and chicken tikka. All served with bread. Unlike other restaurants in Spain they also had a children's menu of chicken goujons, pasta or a mini steak and chips. The pasta was lovely, tomatoey and creamy.

We would definitely come here again!

The only thing I will say is that they need more than one waiter as the poor man was trying to deal wig 10 tables all at once.

“Great food in a picturesque location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

This is in the same small resturant group (of 3) as La Fuente (see my review) and is equally amazing. Small resturant in the Plaza Espagna in the village. We sat outside in November sunshine overlooking such a quaint and pretty plaza. The prawn curry was superb, best curry I've had in years. Another brilliant find. Shame we weren't there long enough to try El Muro as well as I am sure it would be worth a visit (only El Muro do paella of the three in the group).
