“Gorgeous views, I'd recommend going at sunset”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

By car, around a 5-10 minute drive from Palau. Walking may take a while as it's all uphill, so transport is recommended. Gorgeous views, definitely something worth visiting and you'll get some lovely photos & views of Palau, Porto Raphael & Madalena.

“The giant bear and eerie rocks are astonishing and essential to visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

A hot climb along easy tracks to this incredible landmark are worth the trip. A bizarre bear-shaped giant rock guards the entrance to the bay and is visible from the sea for miles away, seen clearly from the approaches to the Maddalene Islands. Other rocks took form in our fanciful minds as dinosaurs, hares and crab claws. Brilliant.

“The Bear”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Amazing what Mother Nature can create, we just drove by to take a photo but there is a tour that you can take to walk to the top it will cost you about 2 Euros or you can get a package deal for 5 that will give you access to the museum & the Fort.

“Worth the climb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

Stumbled across this attraction by accident. The bear rock is a landmark but you can only see the actual shape of the bear from the sea side. Still a nice climb with a wonderful view at the top.

“spectacular views under the "bear rock"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

the capo d´orso was an absolute hotspot on our tour along the snobby costa esmeralda. an easy walkable path brought us up to this spectacular rock formation, which has the look like a bear. because we went there in low season only a few tourists were around and it was possilble to enjoy the breathtaking views over the beautiful area alone. if the weather is clear the archipelago della maddalena is easily visible and the view reaches up to st. teresa de gallura. all the small beaches and bays are visible and the special atmosphere near the baer rock made our stay to an unforgetable highlight of these holidays. we can recomment capo d´orso very much, because this place gave us an overview about the whole costa esmeralda from st. teresa de gallura till olbia. also the view to the beautiful backland is possible and presents the north of sardinia in a breathtaking way. because the viewpoint is not secure it is better to wear good shoes. capo d´orso is not suitable for families with children, because the viewpoint is not adequately secured.
