As other guests say, this is a very good hotel with large, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, lovely food and good facilities. That's the good news.
The car parking is expensive (all I wanted to do was park my car not buy the garage) and the service in the restaurants was shoddy. The staff were very pleasant but hopelessly inefficient. An order for an Apple Juice became a Diet Coke. An order for one type of cake became a totally different one. And, no, it's not because I'm not a native German speaker; the ordering was done by my German colleague. It also took a long time to get served because of the huge numbers in the bar at the time (2 customers - us and 2 waitresses so I guess they were overwhelmed.) I also had some similar problems with the front desk. Overall, I got the impression that they had hired some new staff and not given them any training. My colleague told me they had stopped using the restaurant for business meals because of this.
