“Would benefit from renovation...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

We stayed here in February with friends, upon arrival the location was perfect, you can easily get to the slopes without walking too much, and you can ski right to the door on your way back (which is amazing). The rooms are simple but definitely lack a minibar, first time I see this in a hotel. The windows barely blocked any of the cold, and were steamy by the time we woke up! These should definitely be changed. Taking a shower is HORRIBLE. I don't know what the walls are made of but they echo everything ten times louder, which makes it sound like someone is throwing stuff around loudly in the bathroom, that was not pleasant. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices, but most mornings you end up having to ask for bread or coffee or fruit juice because no one is checking what is missing in the buffet. In the evening, the buffet changes every day which is excellent. The only down side is that the food was often cold. Some food is missing in the buffet too, they seem to have an organisation problem here as one evening we were told that there was no more soup and their explanation for that was "we can't have some for everybody" this is NOT a good excuse or something you should be telling your clients.
The service is what really made the hotel wonderful, the chefs were always there to cook some meat-free meals for me and if you needed anything they could make it for you in 10min top. Overall I think the hotel needs a few tweaks for it to satisfy its clients fully and make the stay a little more enjoyable.

Room Tip: If you want to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountain, do not bother getting a superior room! You...

The hotel is in an excellent location for skiing in and out. The bedrooms are a good size although bathrooms a little small but adequate...lashings of hot water at all times! The food in the restuarant is exceptional for this standard of hotel...desserts to die for and the choice is fabulous. The lounge bar is very modern but not condusive for meeting fellow guests....sofa's are too far apart and not that comfortable . The bar area is used mainly by groups of people when using the hotel for a seminar...prices are also a little high.
All of the staff are extremely welcoming..Gaelle in reception, Danny and Dominic in the restuarant plus Mathilde in the bar area. Everyone from the moment we entered the hotel made our 10 day visit there most memorable.
The standard prices are high for a three star but thankfully deals are available.

Went to visit my son who is working a season. After reading some of the other reviews we were quite unsure as to what we would find. However, we arrived at 1.30am after quite a stressful journey. The reception staff were very helpful. Our room was extremely cold on the first night, I don't think it had been used for a while, but after we sorted the heating out the following evenings were fine. All the staff are very helpful and the food in the retaurant was great. The temperature outside was -16 in the day so goodness knows what the night time temperatures were, and as a result the restaurant which is floor to ceiling windows was freezing. The last night it was slightly warmer, not sure it was due to the increase in people or that the outside temp had risen. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and i am quite fussy!

Room Tip: Our room was on the back of the hotel so not a brilliant view, but as we were out all day it didn...

Incredible service from all the staff during my recent stay. Excellent food and service. An ideal situation for skiing; being able to ski to the door was great. My friend, who was very ill throughout our week's stay, could not have received better care and attention than the staff gave. They were incredibly supportive in the room and restaurant. I cannot fault the help given and the lengths they went to in support of my sick friend and myself in helping him.
I thoroughly recommend this hotel. It's situation for skiing is ideal and the staff were incredibly friendly.

This hotel is a French hotel for French people. If you are British: don't bother going. Upon arrival the room we were given had twin beds but we booked a double. Their resolution for this was to bolt the two beds together!! When we complained to the Hotel Manager he just shrugged his shoulders and said "it's the Italian way" (it's a French hotel!) Room was extremely small and you couldn't swing a cat in the bathroom. The food was mediocre and we were constantly having to ask for bread at breakfast, cutlery & crockery. They were not good at keeping the food stocked up for the buffet. Our first night at dinner we arrived and asked for a table for 2. There were plenty of empty tables but the waiter walked away and never came back to us. Only positive is there is WIFI.

We staid for the whole Carnival week with our 7 years old grand-daughter; the kids’ club made a lot of success. Friendly staff and excellent quality food. Access to fitness center
