“Ski in, quiet apartment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2011

The apartment building is based in Plagne Villages, it has only a few restaurants all of which we sampled, the crepes at La Spatule are amazing. We stayed here (room 509) on the final week of french half term (26th Feb) we had an apartment which was supposed to house 7 persons, I think 5 would be a push and would not recommend filling it to capacity! We ordered pastries and bread, this was very affordable and was always fresh and delicious. It is possible to ski in to the residence and to be honest it was only a couple of minutes walk to get on the piste in the morning. The wardrobes are not massive but the beds were comfortable need some extra pillows too, one room had an en suite bath with a shower over it, there is another bathroom with a shower. As this was french half term the queues for the lifts were mental, I have been away at this time in other french resorts (Courchevel & Tignes) and have never experienced queues like this, a lot has to do with some ancient chairlifts and the simple fact that the lift staff are not that bothered if the six man chair goes up with only 2 on it. Nightlife is better in Plagne Central, we walked back to the apartment up the road, it only took 10 minutes and was nice to walk off some excess beer and food, free wifi in La Luna in the little shopping centre and Scottys Bar but you have to buy a drink in Scottys and get a bit of paper with your authorisation code on it to access the wifi. It is fairly easy skiing and the link to Les Arcs on the Vanoise Express is very quick with a long blue & bits of red run down to it. We did not use the pool or the sauna so cannot comment on it but the pool looked lovely and always had plenty of people in there.

2nd visit to this accommodation, can ski in, but short walk out to ski lifts.good location with lovely views. clean large rooms, nice sauna and small pool, steam room but working properly but refunded half cost because of this. room was ready when we arrived at 10 am which was a bonus. bread delivery service saves going out every morning
