We came back in Avoriaz for a short stay. Last time we Had dinner at the Enfants terribles but we decide to try the festival. The food was Tasty maybe a bit expensive.. The same lady served us with a young man ( charline and Theo I think) and we Had a lovely time again!

It is almost in the center of Avoriaz just a few hundred meters away from the central street/slope. Quiet, great views to the mountains. We were on the 4th floor in a room devided by a sliding door where our baby could sleep while we could watch movies, talk and prepare for a later going to bed. It was very convenient. Design is homey and fun, the elevator is covered with cow leather.
Staff is extremely kind and a bit under experienced but I prefer that to the opposite. Food is just great. Whatever we ordered was wonderful. Breakfast is rich and the choice of bread is excellent. We would certainly return.

Room Tip: If you are travelling with a baby go for the suite with sliding door and everyone will have a good s...

Newly refurbished retro Hotel, excellent standard of accommodation and service. Rooms are small but layout gives feeling of more space, plenty of storage space. Restaurant Les Enfant Terribles serves excellent gourmet French cuisine. Jacuzzi and sauna are great after a days skiing and on site Spa provides massages and other treatments. Would recommend for couples looking for luxury ski lodging leave the kids at home!

Arrived at night, took a horse drawn sleigh ride to the hotel. Beautifully designed and decorated place. Rooms had a view of the ski lift and the shops. Comfortable bed, good heater in room and in toilet for drying off wet stuff
The lobby is great with a fireplace too. Hotel is decorated with Avoriaz Fantastic film festival posters. Love the ceiling and stairs leading to the mezzanine. They have a set of stairs at the side leading down to the ski room to store your gear. Can be accessed from outside by scanning your hotel card
Staff are friendly and very helpful!
Spa area is really nice with a wide range of facilities, didn't try the treatments but enjoyed the sauna and the jacuzzi. It's so relaxing in the jacuzzi while the snow falls softly around you

There are very few Hotels to choose from in Avoriaz but this was great. The decor is 60's retro but with a modern twist. The hotel staff were friendly and very efficient giving us a guided tour of the hotel's amenities on arrival. this really helped getting the lay of the land. The outdoor Jacuzzi and sauna were great, just what you need after a day's skiing at no extra charge like some do. The restaurant was excellent both service and food which was cooked to perfection and just about the right selection for choice. The wine cellar is extensive and not expensive by French standards. The bar area was interesting with its different levels and never too busy.

But to offer a balanced view i must say that who ever designed the bedrooms, we had a club room, has never stayed in one with all the kit and clobber you need for skiing. Just a few hooks to hang things in the room not the bathroom would have been useful. I found the room far too small and claustrophobic, even though the bed was one of the most comfortable i have ever slept on. It is certainly ski out not so sure about the ski in. we never found a route that didn't leave us without a 150 metre walk carrying skis.

Overall i thought it was good value for money and great amenities.

Room Tip: Book a suite.

The newly refurbished/opened des dromonts was our home for a week whilst skiing in Avoriaz. Though the room was small (Club room) it was comfortable and cosy with everything that we needed including a rain shower and a very comfortable bed, which is brilliant when its snowing outside and you want to cosy up. The location of the hotel was excellent, with the option to ski in, and a good sized ski room for storing equipment. the hotel is also in easy walking/skiing distance from the slopes and the restaurants and bard in Festival, where the nightlife was located. The service was very good, though its probably easier for those that speak fluent french. Either way, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, with the concierges and reception being the most helpful during our stay. the skiing around the area is really good and we were lucky to get snow when we did. We took at taxi from the airport (pre booked by the hotel) and the drive was fine, though with heavy snowfall it was a little scary! The hotel has a small spa with an extensive list of treatments, as well as sauna and steam rooms which are brilliant for after a day on the slopes (the outdoor jacuzzi and sauna were nice for the braver amongst us!) The bar and restaurant are really good, and as far as other hotels in the area go i think this is one of the best ones. Lovely for a romantic getaway in a quirky yet sophisticated 60's inspired den. I would definitely recommend this hotel and the area of Avoriaz for skiing, with this hotel marking the up climb in sophistication for the resort. Ski rental was right across the road and we were offered discount for stating at des Dromonts, which was a nice surprise. My husband and I also spent new years eve in the hotel, which was lovely and low key, but with enough festivities for the guests and pre-booked diners that were not staying at the hotel. the restaurant upstairs serves excellent food. For the time of year and my last minute booking, the price of the room was not too bad, though if i had planned better, and there was more availability i would probably have booked a larger room.

Room Tip: go for the club room or better, if you can get one get a room with a balcony. our room had a view of...
