I booked 1 week in a 3 star residence in an "appartement"
First of all the price: 1500€ for the flat, 7 nights. That is 214€/night.
The surface: around 25sqm
The flat is intended for 4 people. We were 2+baby
The room is so small we could not get the baby bed in it.
There is no room for stuff other than 1 hanger(full with skiing gear only) and 4 drawers. Note that once you place the baby bed in the living room you can not open the drawers...
Then the bedroom has a windows on the open air corridor and has only a curtain in front of it. Meaning you get the light from the corridor and a cool air anytime of the day and the night.
Then, what to do with our luggage? Luckily we were only 2 adults and they did fit in the narrow corridor. I would bang into them by night every time I went out of the room.
Then we paid wifi. Ah, the wifi. It does only work in the bedroom. Not at all in the living room. Anyway, it worked so poorly that I ended using my phone line connection.way faster. And when I asked for help at the reception, we were told to call the support service, a 0800... Number you cannot call if you have foreign phones.
Honestly, I am used to sleep in Mountain refugees. I know what it is to lack of space. This is exactly it, except a mountain refugee costs 30€/night and we paid way more.
There are lost of better place to be than pierre et Vacances residences.
Even in avoriaz, I have been to better and cheaper places.
This is just a shame.
