“Magnifique!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Excellent meal from a very varied menu; delightful staff; good location in the town centre; price very reasonable. That will do!

“Still very good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

We went to this restaurant again this year on a Sunday in November 2012. Still as good as the year before. Will go back again and again.

“Never on a Sunday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

This is an inbetween sort of place-between the the tourist traps in the`Square for the young hoping to be seen drinking kir or creme de menthe, the romantic out to impress and the English seeking a meal with a view
and places in the back streets where the locals eat or the more artisan like L Entecote nearby which is difficult to better for quality and value tho the situalion is not flash and the service sometimes stretched

The reviews suggest Montmartre may suffer from Monday night fever when others are closed and is not always reliable. The food is not always as good as the menu and price promises and sometimes verging on institutional as opposed to individual plate cooking, Not surprising Brits think it great value but at these prices it is possible to enjoy Michelin class food in and around St Omer

So for English who like to eat in Montmartre fine but for French and those who enjoy a more local atmosphere and better value probably not the best

“Good Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We were taken to this lovely restaurant just before Christmas by my sister and her husband. We loved the food and the friendliness of the staff. Would love to eat here again when visiting St Omer. Try the Ox Cheeks they are wonderful.

“A terriboe disappointment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

I booked here because every restaurant above it on the list was closed on a Monday night. It was chilly and over bright...only two other groups there, and on first sight if I hadn't booked we would have gone elsewhere (others were open). The food was very mediocre. We ate from the 27 euro menu and felt seriously cheated...foie gras served in a plastic pot surrounded by a stale garnish, and not genuine foie gras. Magret de canard tough with soggy skin, vegetables plain boiled and not seasoned, gravy clearly from a stock cube. Dessert was nougat glace, clearly bought in and served with the whipped shaving-type cream the French love so much. Oh, and bread was a soft floppy white roll.
Seriously, don't go, unless a chef who knows how to cook takes over on other nights!
