We stayed at the Vira Bali for one night after a very long flight from the UK, before travelling on to Lombok for a week. The hotel picked us up from the airport at Denpasar ($10 charge) and drove us the short 10 minutes to this lovely hotel.

Our teenagers had their own room and my husband and I were up graded to a suite.

The hotel is very clean and beautifully decorated. The pool is lovely and the food tasty. The hotel photos are just as you will find it!

The surrounding area was not really my scene - probably about 20 years too old for it - but we discovered a great shopping mall about ten minutes walk from the hotel (out of the hotel entrance, turn right and keep going along the main road - it's a big, cream coloured building on the left hand side with steps leading up to it).

A perfect place to recover from the long, long, long flight! (Note to self - Brunei is a 'dry' country so should have expected the Royal Brunei flight to be 'dry' too! The wonders of hindsight!)
