My husband and I had 8 wonderful nights at Santika. We stayed in a Garden Bungalow. We have been to Bali about 30 times and have stayed in many hotels in different locations in Bali. I would rate Santika as one of the best resorts that we have been to and thats including 5 star resorts in Nusa Dua.

It is so old world Bali, which seems to be harder to find these days and the Gardens are just lovely.

The Garden Bungalow was just beautiful and the outdoor shower was one of the best things. It was so wonderful and different. The staff were fantasic and the room was cleaned at least twice daily. The afternoon tea was an added treat as was the ice bucket which was filled each day at the same time for our gin and tonics on the verandah.

We chose to have our breakfast each morning at the Sunset Restaurant which was a la carte, rather than the buffet. We could hardly drag ourselves away from the wonderful view of the ocean each morning. The menu was great and we could have anything we wanted.

We will definately being staying there again next year.

I am an extremely fussy person when it comes to Hotels and always look for the 5 star ones but I think the Santika is very hard to beat as a perfect location in Bali.

Don't hesitate to book it if you are looking for a great holiday and be sure to choose the Garden Bungalow you won't be disappointed.

This was our third trip in as many years and am always glad we stick with Santika. The staff always welcome you home always willing to have a chat and always smiling. Stayed in a bungalow again with wonderful service again from Sas and Serka. What gracious gentlemen. We found it really hard to leave this time, cant wait to return soon, staying longer this time. The beach is so much nicer now the sea wall has been completed and a lovely spot now to watch the world go by with a cold bintang or too. There does seem to be a lot of developement going on I only hope it does not spoil the real Bali that we have come to love!!Hopefully the greed for that almighty dollar does not overshadow what is still a great place to visit!!

After an absence of 12 years, my partner and I returned to Bali. On the advice of a Balinese friend, we stayed at the Hotel Santika. What a delight. Beautiful gardens, great pools and restaurants and the most cheerful staff. Smiling and saying “Salamat Pagi” to the staff every morning made my face ache. Direct walk on to the beach, were the hotel has sun lounges and umbrellas, with hotel staff available for your minor whim.
This hotel has a number of options for accommodation at various costs. We ate at all 3 restaurants and found the food to be more than adequate and tasty, especially the breakfasts, where there were multiple choices for all tastes. I read a previous review claiming that the choice of egg dishes was few. Well, I had fried, poached, scrambled and omelette. The bacon tasted like the old fashioned bacon. OK, the tea was pretty ordinary, but if you ask, you can have a pot.
Outside restaurants include: “Queen of India” (probably the best Indian food outside India and the UK). “Dona Dona” which has the best lumpia I have tasted and across the road “L’Cielo”.
We are already planning our next stay.

Resort facilities, quiet but close enough to the action if so desired.

My mum and I had a Premier room and it was great. Clean and well looked after. The service is second to none, and everyone is warm and friendly and cant do enough to help you. Room was cleaned daily and we had a bed turndown service in the evening The breakfast buffet is plentiful, hot and fresh, always welcomed by name with a warm smile and a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee. The two swimming pools were kept immaculate and were a great place to relax with a book and watch the world go by. The grounds are immaculate and well looked after. I will definately be going back to the Santika.

My wife and I have been to Bali 10 times now going back to 1976 when sewage used to run through the streets. We first visited when we were without children and stayed in Sanur which was a little quiet for us. Later in years when we had children we stayed at the Dynasty 4 times as it caterered for families, the Santika is located right next to the Dynasty. We have always stayed South of Kuta as it is less busy and still only a short walking distance to Kuta. This was`the first time we have stayed at Santika, we were going back to the Kartika Plaza but we went to a travel expo in Perth and they had a special deal too good to go past. We got a Garden Bungalow with Sas our butler giving us compimentary tea, cake and fruit everyday. The room was quiet spacious with a large open thatched ceiling, the rear of the room had the bathroom and sperate toilet. The shower was in the garden outside and completly private apart from when the people were showering on the other side of the wall which only happened twice in 12 days. There are 2 pools, a large rectangular one and a formed one with a bar in the new` area where the premier rooms are located. There are also lounger chairs located on the beach but the umbrellas do not give you much shade. The gardens are well maitained and are lovely to walk through, you will most likely meet the black and white ducks in the grounds as they are always together. We had breakfast included and you could not complain about the variety from traditional Balinese to Asian and full English. There is an egg bar where you can get your eggs fried, scrambled or in an omelette of your choice. The tea and coffee they bring around is not the best but you can ask for a pot of tea with one or two teabags or a perculated coffee. The staff are excellent, the first day we arrived we were asked our names and we were greeted personally every day after, after a couple of days we did not even have to ask for our pot of tea it came automatically. My wife enjoys freshly juiced vegetables and they have a section where you can get get it. One of the Staff used to get a celery juice for her even though its self serve. I cannot remember such good service from any hotel I have stayed in before. It was my bithday while we were staying and my wife told one on the staff. Later that day a small chocolate cake with a candle and a vase of roses with delivered to our room with a card such a nice touch. Since we were in Bali last a pathway from Kuta to the airport has been built along the beach which makes it even quicker to walk into Kuta. The beach has been infilled with more sand to give the hotels the opportunity to put out loungers in front and have theme dinners on the beach at night. There is a new Indian Resturant opened just along from the`Santika which we visited twice as the food was so good. Watch out if you sit on the chairs around the bar as they gradually sink down which created quite a bit of humour Also TJ Mexican and Zanzibar in Legion was espcially good food and good value. Dont forget the mozzies spray at night or you will get eaten or ask for a mozzie`coil under the table when yo walk in. All in all we had a good time relaxing drinking and eating and made some new friends who were also staying at Santika we did not stop laughing when we` were together. We are planning to go back to Bali in October and we will certainly go back to Santika. You need to bring in a loyalty programme though guys. Dont forget if you go to Bali the staff only earn about Irp 500,000 to 800,000 per month so a few tips mean alot to them
