“Excellent hotel to come home to after a long day of fun.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2011

The Radiant hotel is a very comfortable, clean, well-run hotel to return to after a long day of sight-seeing in the sun and surf. It is small enough to be able to get to know all the staff on a first name basis and yet large enough to meet travelers from all over the world. Breakfast buffet is very generous, fresh, varied, and delicious. Pools, facilities, and grounds are kept up impeccably. The spa was a wonderful treat, especially the complimentary 15-minute foot reflexology massage! Thank you Radiant for a wonderful 10-day retreat!

Room Tip: Ground floor room opened to face the beautiful pool area.

Stayed at The Radiant for our 6 day trip to Bali - a cosy boutique hotel which is not within the heart and busy tourist belt of Kuta. There weren't many guests during our 6-day stay so we literally have the pool to ourselves every morning after breakfast. We took a Superior Room which is just few feets from the pool and next to the cafe where breakfast is served. Do not expect wide spread of offerings for the breakfast buffet; if there are not many guests, they will serve an ala carte menu for breakfast where you can choose from 3 choices - American, Continental and Indonesian (chicken porridge). Hotel also provide a free shuttle service to the Discovery Mall at Kuta, 3 times a day at 10am, 2pm and 4pm. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating.

I have just come back from Bali and stayed at this Hotel for 5 nights. Having never stayed both at this Hotel and in the Tuban area I was pleasantly surprised about the Radiant Hotel. This I think could be called a little Gem ,bearing in mind not all travellers will think the same. The rooms are very spacious and it has x 2 pools. No it does not have swim up bars but the rooms face the pools. As a quiet location it has big ticks in that you get no traffic, and the local people within this area are very friendly and helpfull. Some reviews have stated it is well out of the way and close to the Airport, which is correct. I personally walked into Kuta several times and at a good stoll it took me no more than 20 minutes to the Descovery Shopping Mall. The Hotel supplies free transport 3-4 times a day in and out of Kuta for the guests. "FOOD" The breakfast as also reviewed by others is not really catered for Westerners. I had the pleasure to be able to speak to Made Suesnawa ( Room Division Manager ) one morning, in regards to the breakfast avaliable there and he was very receptive to my comments ,and assured me that the Hotel would be fixing any problems if this was the case. The staff at this Hotel are very very good and can not do enough for their guests . The nearest shop is about 600 metres away on the hotel lane and is a traditional supermarket with everything you would need at very cheap prices. Taxis are readily avaliable in the area also. I personally would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a change in Bali. It is 2 years old and in a quiet location within walking distance to Kuta Centre if needed.

Room Tip: Rooms spacious with comfortabe beds

Very close to airport, with courtesy bus (we didn't expect it but there it was!) and close to Kuta (if you like all those Australian tourists), about 150,000 Rp (US$1.50 approx).

Contemporary, nice staff, good value, nice pool, albeit surrounded by the hotel rooms, which might be a bit "crowded" when busy. A little dark inside at night, but very comfy and well appointed. Sadly the bar is not currently licensed to sell spirits!!!

It's down a very bumpy lane, but don't let that put you off, great price for spacious apartments.

The hotel was just a 5-10 mins taxi drive from the airport that costs 35,000 rupiah. We had a very late flight check-in, the receptionist was expecting us I suppose, nevertheless he was rather friendly. We realised that we couldnt make any calls out and so he volunteered to call for us and transfer to our room. The short distance ride was very bumpy with countless potholes but this was secondary. We had a superior pool view room with just the pool 3 footsteps away! I had the pool to myself, it was very relaxing. I guess the hotel was worth the price. Count 10 steps from our room and we shall reach the breakfast lounge. Nice decent breakfast, cereals with milk, toasted bread ,fruits, juice, fried noodles/rice, chicken sausages, bacon(beef)You can order omelettes too. One disadvantage is, because of the remote location it is not so possible for one to travel by foot. Engage a driver in advance!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2011

When we arrived in Bali we stayed here for two nights before heading out to some islands. We had a great experience the first time we stayed at the hotel. When we returned to Bali a few days later we decided to stay here again. I ended up getting sick (not because of the hotel) and I needed to go to the hospital at about 3 am. After waiting for a taxi that was taking a long time to come, the hotel arranged for one of the staff members to drive us to the hospital in the hotel vehicle. We were only supposed to stay at the hotel for one night because we did not have reservations and only superior rooms were available the next two nights. Upon return from the hospital the staff arranged for us to move to a superior room and only charged us the regular room rate because I was still very ill. Housekeeping and room service visited our room a few times as I could not leave the room. Everyone who came by was really nice and seemed genuinely concerned about how I was feeling. Staff at this hotel were fantastic.
Presickness the pool was really good. The rooms are quite beautiful. I personally would not pay extra to stay in a superior room. Its the same as a regular room only with a pool view. And in the morning you can hear people in the pool which might wake you.
This hotel is a 15 minute cab ride to the main area that most tourists visit (and beaches) which can be a pain.
When in Bali we had trouble finding a cheap hotel. If I was going back I would just book everything in advance on a travel website. Especially because the room rate was more expensive walking up than booking in advance.
