“Lovely quiet lodge , peaceful and of good value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We stayed for 1 night at the "Rose Suite" as a stopover for our road trip.

Room quality : Good mattress, decent ensuite bathroom, the suite was big enough for 4 persons. Very comfy overall.
Lobby; AWESOME!! Comes with a DVD library, books, hot beverages and guidebooks.
Front desk : The owner ( Kathy?)was very friendly and warm
Price : we paid about US$130 per night for a suite with 2 rooms, 1 bathroom, kitchenette, living room and a nice balcony that overlooks a pink rose plant. How cute!
Food : The lodge does not provide food during winter months, but it's just a quick drive of about 10 minutes to get some good Italian food, Carls jr and you can also find a HUGE supermarket for your groceries etc.
Overall : Lovely place, recommended !!

Room Tip: Really peaceful and quiet. And from the lodge, you can actually trek downwards for a nice stroll.

“Home at Yosemite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

We stayed 3 nights at this lodge and shared one 2-bedroom suite with another couple. The decor is a little dated but clean and totally adequate. Our host, John, was extremely helpful with information about the park and local areas. He also cooks a mean breakfast. We enjoyed the views from the common balcony and shared an interesting conversation with a couple visiting from England. We would recommend this place to friends and family.

“Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

We had booked this B&B for 3 nights for our visit to Yosemite. The photos really don't do it justice and we were very pleasantly surprised. The reception/breakfast area is so pretty, very in keeping with the area and our room (Sunrise suite) was much bigger and brighter than we expected. The bedroom is upstairs in what we though was a Mezzanine level, but it has high ceilings and a very comfortable king sized bed, with lovely pillows and nice bedding.

The bathroom is downstairs, but there are nice carpets everywhere, on the stairs etc, so that helps with the trips downstairs in the night! (Not a problem to us at all and we are no spring chickens!)
Nice bathroom with ample toiletries and lovely white towels. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Breakfast was delicious. John cooked an endless supply of lovely pancakes or waffles and there was fresh fruit, toast, yoghurts etc, everything you could want. John's company at breakfast was great, he is such a nice chap and very entertaining. He leaves out coffee, chocolate drinks, tea etc to help yourself to, with the lamps and lights on, so you can use that room anytime. There are DVD's to borrow and books on the area to browse. Also everything you need in your room, too.

We really didn't want to leave.

Yosemite was awesome! We followed John's expert advice and made as much as we good of the two days we had in the park. It was everything we hope for, and more. We saw two black bear cubs, two coyotes, a bobcat (lynx) and mule deer. Not to mention those amazing views which defy description.
It's not cheap to stay around Yosemite, but we were glad we hadn't settled for the cheaper motels in Oakhurst, the setting, comfort and ambience of Sierra Mountain Lodge was worth every penny and made the trip really special.

Room Tip: We loved the sunrise room, although we didn't see the others, I am guessing they will be just as...

“Idyllic honeymoon spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

My husband and I stayed here for a night on our US honeymoon road trip. On our honeymoon we stayed at some luxury hotels, but none were upto the standard that this B&B was. We honestly cannot recommend it enough. It was the most perfect setting and our room/cottage that we had (Sterling) was the loveliest room - we took some home decor tips from the room - it was lovely! Also Brenda and John made us feel really welcome at the same time as creating the space to make you feel like you were home.
The DVD library was a really unexpected touch that we took advantage of for our night in and the view in the morning overlooking the National Park is perfect.
We have and will be recommending this spot to everyone we know! Thank you so much for your hospitality! Laura and Alex x ('homely' couple :-) )

Room Tip: Stay in Sunrise or Sterling suite!

“Really enjoyable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Run by a nice couple who were really keen to help. They produced a really nice breakfast and the property is set well away from noise and has lovely views. The fittings are a little dated and walking down stairs to the to toilet was boring.
