“Lots to see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

The museum is quite large and you can easily spend a few hours wandering around. There are many different buildings setup with exhibits. The Commissioner's house has particularly interesting exhibits. Three floors worth! There are beautiful views from the top area of the fort. Definitely worth a visit.

“Don't Miss It”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Located at the Dockyards, I was pleasantly surprised at how well-done this museum is. You can walk the grounds of the old fort - old cannons, etc - a herd of goats rule the area, so mind your step as you walk the grass and be sure to close the sheep gate if you head up to the grounds that way. The Commissioner's House houses a fantastic war museum, incredible mural, and other fascinating Bermuda historical facts. Several of the other buildings on the property house other types of historical information all presented with considerable detail. The museum grounds is also the location of the Dolphin Quest which I did not participate in or watch - there is a small dolphin related gift ship near the Quest area.

“Fortifications, Shops, Museums, Beaches, Bars all in 1 Spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

Great fort to wander around and explore amazing history a lot of the fortifications were built by Boer War prisoners, lots of Canadian and British Naval History here; cool shops and reasonable prices, pubs with great food, pottery shop and rum cake shop are definitely worth checking out. There is even a nice little beach on one side of the fort would recommend it for a family outting but plan a full day; short ferry ride to Hamilton.
Hire a taxi for a quick run around the area if you want to get an idea of the area 10.00 and we found lots of neat spots
