“Splendid holiday at Harbour Court”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

From the stunning views and top notch accommodations to a splendid spa and wonderful dining, Tucker's Point is, in my opinion, Bermuda's very best resort. Amazing golf (and in season, beach club) this is Old Bermuda made new again. The quality of the facility is topped only by the friendly, competent and accommodating staff. Our family holiday was memorable and enjoyable for everyone from 25 to 90.

We spent a truly magnificant 4-night stay at Tucker's Point. I had actually booked a surprise 2-night stay for my husband's birthday (he was very surprised!) and he loved TP so much we stayed an additional 2 nights! We loved that everyone made us feel like we were part of the TP family! We were always greeted by name which made us feel extra special. The staff were exceptional, the service outstanding, the food at both Sul Verde and The Point restaurants was excellent, the location overlooking Castle Harbour offers fantastic views and great sunrises! The overall ambience of the TP is such that though this was our first visit, it certainly will not be our last!

Room Tip: Our corner room on the 4th Floor overlooked the beautiful turquoise waters of Castle Harbour and the...

Overall, we had a great 4 night stay at Tucker's Point. There are lots of very good things to say about both the hotel and its facilities but we come away with some reservations and it's a shame that these little niggles have gone seemingly undetected.

The property, the standard of the fixtures, fittings, furniture and the bedrooms are all outstanding. We had a villa room with lovely views over the water and were upgraded on arrival. The bathrooms are huge and are appointed to the highest standards. There are well equipped mini bars and wifi is provided free of charge throughout. Having gone to such effort elsewhere quite why there is no facility to make tea or coffee in room is beyond us at this price - we resorted to a trek backwards and forwards to the coffee station adjacent to the hotel reception before breakfast. We also found the housekeeping services a little hit and miss.

The hotel boasts of various venues to eat when in reality (noting that our stay was off season in late November) there is only one restaurant on site. There was no food or beverage at the library or the terrace cafe throughout our 4 night stay (the hotel's in room literature makes reference to both). The pool and the bar serve the same quite limited snack orientated menu which leaves the high end the Point restaurant as the only option for breakfast or dinner (room service aside). We feel the hotel really ought to make this clear, noting that the beach club restaurant & bar is closed during the low season. Having said that the food at the Point was excellent and service very attentive.

We decided to rent scooters from the facility on site and explored Bermuda which meant we generally ate away from the hotel during the day. We tried Sul Verde, a pop up Italian restaurant at the adjacent golf club one evening which is worth a visit as an alternative to the Point and Tom Moore's a short drive away is excellent.

Finally it's worth noting that the hotel is some distance from the nearest town which means guests are largely reliant on the facilities on site unless you're prepared to rent your own transport or hire taxis (both are easy to organise). The pay back is that the location and setting are absolutely stunning.

So all-in-all, we put our experience down to a quiet off season period during which the hotel was only at around 50% occupancy on a couple of the 4 nights we stayed. Tucker's Point is so nearly up with the very best - it just needs a little polish (and deserves it at this price!).

Room Tip: The villa rooms are superb, but note they are a flight of 75 steps away from reception.

Everything here is wonderful!!! My only complaint is their "fancy" restaurant and bar. The food is terrible and the menu limited. Send someone in to revamp bar and restaurant and it would be perfect!!!! As for everything else, it was wonderful.

I was privileged to be the guest of a Tucker's Point resident who shared this slice of paradise with us. This was my first trip to Bermuda, but not my first stay at a 5 Star Resorts. The resort was much more than I expected. The service, food and ambience were outstanding. The trolley is available to take you to all of the spread out venues. The beach club is heavenly. We utilized all the facilities, and we ate repeatedly at all of the restaurants. A bit pricey for food and beverage, but it was all excellent so worth the price, unlike many resorts that charge for mediocre offerings. The staff were engaging, friendly, and above all, masterfully efficient. This was probably the finest resort I have ever attended, and I cannot wait to return.

When you arrive at tucker's point you know you have arrived. Wonderful staff that made you feel welcome and appreciated. Superb food in the Point restaurant and again, outstanding service. Our son was married there and the reception and the wedding were exactly what everyone would want. Fabulous setting, lovely staff, exquisite presentations. PLus each hotel room was beautifully appointed. Great beach club and superb golf. A little bit of heaven.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view. We loved the one facing teh pool with our own outside bed!

From the moment you step into reception, there is absolute peace & tranquility.
A wonderful sense of being THERE at last, having travelled what seems to be forever
over our lifetime seeking Nirvana, we found it right here on our doorstep.!
You must try Tucker's Point, ideally located just a short drive from the airport.
Facilities are out of this world, staff are the most friendly ever, in fact the complete package.
Visit the superb Golf Villas (Buddy) and Harbour Court (Becky) and be really tempted
into purchasing fractional share at its best.
An overall wonderful experience, not to be missed.

Room Tip: Every one is a gem, what a view over Castle Harbour, watch the sunrise.!!!
