“Great time. Can't wait to return.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2011

My wife and I just returned today and I must say it was a great short vacation. This was our second time at Tucker's Point this year. While Tucker's Point isn't close to everything you can get a Taxi anywhere. My wife and rented scooters(which we were able to rent on site)and were able to drive all over the island and see everything. We explored every beach on the island then finally when to the Beach Club on the final day before the airport. I've been a few places and it was hands down the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. I didn't think that anywhere could top the beaches in St John but Burmuda and in particular the Beach Club does it. Another great thing about Bermuda is that you can mostly avoid the Cruise Crowds. If you want to go to a clean place where you don't have to be confined to a resort Bermuda and Tucker's Point is the place to go.

Just returned from 4 days at Tuckers Point - wonderful hotel in a great location with impeccable service. Its expensive but worth it and the little things help - free internet, free bottled water and minibar prices that are very reasonable ($4 beer, $5 liquor). Walking the property is fun and the 1.5 mile stroll (or you can take the regular shuttle with very friendly drivers) to the Beach Club lets you enjoy one of the nicest beaches I have seen (a hallmark of the island). Rent scooters to explore the island, play golf at Tuckers Point or the Mid-Ocean Club or simply relax on the balcony - its a great place to relax.

We will be back!

Hotel was very nice and other than the weather that week everything was very good. Rooms are large, as nice as pictured (bathrooms are huge). Beach is beautiful and pools are nice too. The doormen couldnt be any nicer, more helpful. The shuttle was not a problem to take you to/from the beach. The dinning room food was great + the bar and even the beach food was very good. Would say its the nicest hotel on the island.
Some of the problems - while minor - were the waitstaff. It seemed like they were in a daze/little personality or common sense. There were certain areas of the hotel that were not decorated (hallway to the gym was dark & creepy and some walls in the hotel had no pictures..just a big blank wall). The $30 per night gratuity charge was a little much...especially after you pay $600 per night + have been tipping people all week and find out about the surcharge at checkout. They could use a jacuzzi somewhere - especially with colder weather. The location is what it is...expensive cab fare to go out but was worth it to get away for dinner (Waterlot Inn was fantastic and worth the drive)

Outstanding resort and exteremely friendly and professional staff. First time that I have experienced housekeeping staff greet me by my name while walking down the hall. Beautiful grounds spread over 200 acres, including golf course, multiple swimming pools, tennis courts, and beach. Need to take a trolley from main hotel building to get to beach but just a 6 minute ride. Also just a 7 minute taxi ride to really good restaurants in Flatts Village and close to airport. Although expensive everything was first class so would definitely come back again!

Overlooking the Castle Harbour this is a fine ultra modern, deluxe resort hotel and spa. I stay in Bermuda often and would recommend this property to couples and families looking for a true secluded get away from it all experience. The professionalism and atmosphere is as good as one would expect from a 5 star resort. The beach (7 minute tram service away) is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. There is a bar and restaurant located at the beach. Two restaurants (one formal), bar and rooms service is also available at the main reception area. The property is situated next to the Mid Ocean Golf Club golf is available to guests. There are water sports at the dock on Castle Harbour and several swimming pools.

the food is subpar. my toasted bagel was cold and hard (i.e., toasted hours before i ordered it). the burger at the beach club was terrible. i didn't risk having dinner there.

the location is ok... need to take a tram to get to the beach (but what a great beach). unless you plan to stay on location, everything else in bermuda is pretty far away and the taxi fares really add up. on the upside, it was close to the airport.

no movie options on the tv (nor dvd player). odd complaint? well, hurricanes come through.

on the positive side, service was good (sai, the concierge was excellent, as was levon at the door). the beds were awesome (mattress, sheets, pillows - all excellent).

Room Tip: great deck in the X17 rooms

We arrived on Labour Day weekend, so we got to see what things are like when the hotel is understaffed. During our stay, hurricane Katia passed nearby, so we also got to see what things were like in not-so-good weather. In spite of these challenges, Tucker's Point managed to exceed our expectations. The property is absolutely breathtaking with a beautiful view in every direction. The larger infinity pool was convenient to restaurants and spa, while the private pool (we had our own cabana) was quiet and looks out over the spectacular blue water of Castle Harbour. Occasionally someone would come by with a scented cool towel or chilled fruit. We never had to wait for the beach shuttle (which also takes you to the golf club and the bus stop for trips to Hamilton, Dockyard, or St. George). The beach itself is beautiful and our attendant Meshach set us up with umbrellas and lounge chairs on the beach or by another infinity pool. All I had to do was raise a flag to get a drink or food delivered. Our room was large, with a fantastic bathroom, and an umbrella and butterfly net waiting when we walked in. The terrace was great for alfresco dining and had a nice daybed for afternoon naps in the shade. Food was good at all the restaurants, and the beach club especially nice for a light lunch or romantic dinner. We also enjoyed lunch at the golf club, and a nice buffet breakfast and elegant dinner at the Point. When the weather was less than perfect, board games appeared at Tucker's Bar.
If I had to pick on something, it would be that occasionally the waiters disappeared when you needed them most, and over Labour Day there was a little algae in the pool. As soon as the full staff returned, it was gone. All in all, a wonderful hotel and a perfect honeymoon.

Room Tip: The rooms with the private cabana are a wonderful indulgence, but the private pool was never crowded...
