“Make sure Matteo is not your waiter!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

I think the food at this restaurant is good however it was overshadowed by the sharp, acidic and sarcastic attitude of the server named Matteo.

It seemed to offer a nice atmosphere. My veal was undercooked (maybe just rare) but seeing as our server told us it was going to served medium - and there was no flexibility on this - he basically told us you get what you get - I unfortunately didn't end up finishing most of it as I felt it was uncooked. What I did eat was tasty though.

Good sized portions on the antipasto platter and fried calamari (which needed a touch more salt).

There are simply too many great Italian restaurants to bother re-visiting this one based on the horrible attitude from Matteo - the waiter. Many of us at the table agreed and then it became a bit of a joke since he was so jaded.

“Pretty good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2014

Asked to modify dish and was given attitude. I had a pasta dish that was salty and over cooked. the veal dish was tasty. Didn't appear to be a popular spot, it was pretty empty for a Friday night.

“Food is amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013 via mobile

I usually order the polenta with oyster mushrooms and the nove pizza, both great. Another favourite is the pasta fagioli with rapini another favourite of mine.

“Nove out of 10”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Not sure why this place is not more full on a week night as it offers really good food, service and value. The complementary bread with black olive tapenade were a great start; however, they need to warn diners as to the high heat level of the jalapenos as just the sampling of a drop of the oil had us draining our water glasses. Shared a few starters (fried to perfection crispy calamari (comes topped with fiery peppers, but if you are not a fan of hot/spicy food, ask for the peppers on the side or omitted, classic Caesar salad and melt in your mouth gnocchi). Enjoyed the Margherita pizza (thin and crispy) and would have enjoyed it more had it not been so salty (not sure if the sauce or cheese was to blame). Great selection of wines in fare price points.
