“Good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

I had to stay in the hotel for 4 nights due to work near by. Hotel facilities and Hotel accommodations were very good. Room was always clean. Hotel was quite. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel shuttle is very convenient to get to and from the airport. just outside the hotel there is a Bus station for a direct bus line to the city center (bus # X95). 30 minute trip by bus to city, cost is a little expensive but not bad (5 Eu per one way trip).
Outside the hotel there is a convince store and small coffee shop which are a cheaper substitute to the Hotel restaurant, which was the only relative negative thing in the hotel.
Breakfast was good but expensive (17 Eu, should be no more then 12) and the restaurant/ bar/ room service are expensive so better go outside to the convince store and coffee shop (half price).
All in all good hotel but a bit expensive, Far from the city center.

Bright lobby, spacious and well-fitted rooms, bright bathroom, good work desk but wi-fi extra, safe, ironing board, kettle but no tea/coffee. Good aircon but always-on communal draught ventilation system in bathroom (the bane of modern hotels) creates continuous noise in the background. Bar meals quite good though pricey. Breakfast buffet had extensive choices plus an orange-pressing machine but hot dishes were lukewarm and tired and the platewarmer was not working. Shuttle bus service good but our busy morning run rather disconcertingly had luggage blocking the entire length of the gangway - something of a safety hazard to say the least. Overall, for €113 incl breakfast, not a bad place to flop before an early flight if you don't want to go into Athens.

This hotel offers a great deal compared to the Sofitel situated right in the airport. The Holiday Inn is a short 10 min bus ride away (they offer a shuttle every 15 min from the airport - just walk all the way to the right after exiting the baggage claim area, to the busses and wait for their buss it's clearly marked and it's green).
That said, prepare to be ripped off for dinner and breakfast. Dinner is as one would expect at a Holiday Inn, the beer is good and cold. The breakfast is a scam. Don't get it. They don't tell you how much until after you've eaten...it's 20+euro per person.
The rooms leave one with a sense of vertigo, but they are very nice. They pool and gym are fantastic.

We stayed at this hotel for one night before our long flight home on the Sunday morning back to Canada. A bit of a distance from the airport but they do provide a shuttle service, I had to ask at the information desk where to find it and it is to the right when you exit the airport along with the other buses. Unfortunately, the shuttle times in the morning did not work for part of my travel group (they had 6:20am flight) so they opted to stay at the airport rather then have to pay the hefty taxi cab fee of 35 euro. The hotel is well equipped with amenities but the internet charge of $9.50 per device is ridiculous along with the hotel restaurant...but as there is nothing else around you dont' have much choice. Wake-up call and shuttle in the morning went smoothly and will recommend to anyone staying for a quick layover in Athens.

We stayed at this hotel for one evening before our connecting flight the next day to Rhodes. Even though it is a bit far from the airport, they provide a free shuttle every half hour so the distance is a non issue, and there is a bus right outside that takes you all the way to the centre of Ahens. The hotel itself was great! The common areas were very clean, the room was extremely clean and comfortable, also very quite. The shuttle driver, reception staff and restaurant personnel were extremely polite and helpful. Internet cost 9.5 euros, a bit pricey, but it was fast and quite reliable, a big plus for us, The only drawback is that there are no places to eat in the area- you have to eat at the hotel restaurant or take a cab to one of the surrounding areas. We will definitely choose this hotel again the next time we travel to Athens!

I was very pleased with my one night at this hotel. The shuttle was easy to find outside and prompt at both picking me up and dropping me off. The rooms were clean, there was great lighting and the temperature worked great. My wake up call was delivered promptly. Everything worked fine with the bathroom.

I agree with others, the 9,50 charge for the internet was ridiculous and the food was overly expensive at the hotel. But, you are in the middle of nowhere and if you need either of those amenities, you have to pay for it. Service by the staff is...well abrupt. Oh well.

Another note about the shuttle. My goodness people - THINK! The hotel states the shuttle LEAVES the hotel at the half hour...which means it ARRIVES at the airport approximately on the QUARTER hour. Just something to think about when you are waiting for the shuttle.

i would suggest if you need a meal for the evening, you buy a sandwich (or just eat at the airport restaurant ahead of time.) Or, if you walk out of the hotel and up the street there is a local petrol station with a sandwich shop (think Greek Subway) inside of it. I had a very nice hot sandwich for less than 4 Euro. They are also open for breakfast and they do have a wifi signals available.

I'd recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again if it was in my travel plans.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are quiet and nice.

Stayed one night before connecting flight in the morning. Hotel is very nice. Rooms are large and modern. Beds are really comfortable.Front desk customer service was very good. Charge E9.50 for WiFi. Hotel restaurant not bad. Serving staff not very friendly. As previous contributors have reported, the shuttle FROM the airport is a little confusing. There are no signs marking the shuttle stop. After leaving arrivals doors, just turn right and walk down to car park at the end of walkway. Bus parks in the car park. They were using the small bus in the evening and it was full when it showed up. We had to wait another 25 minutes after already waiting half an hour. Upon check in, they will book a shuttle time for you the next day so you don't have to worry about it being full. Besides the shuttle issue, overall a good stay.
