“Good Food Show Off Place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Very good Japanese food! Not much of a service. You have to wait for everything for a long time. It looked like people have come there to show off. Cuban cigars, silicone girls, loud music... Not quite restaurant type. I would go there again only because of food, and early in the evening, when there is a chance it would not be crowded.

“Sushi and cocktails”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012 via mobile

Any review for this place could be different depending on expectations. The sushi is of great quality the service is slow especially on Saturdays, but always polite. The cocktails are better than any other restaurant in Glyfada area. This is not a place for cheap dining and drinking and it is a very interesting location for having a good time south.

“Good sushi, good atmoshere, TERRIBLE service!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

Sushi is very good and atmosphere is fun. Good place to people watch. BUT it took ages for even the first orders of sushi to come out, very slow service. Waiters have attitude..not really sure why...
Expensive for what you get, especially due to lack of service.

“Too expensive for nothing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012 via mobile

Food average, service severely bad. A very cold and indifferent restaurant despite aesthetics and decoration is really good. There were 3 tables dinning at the time we were served, however kitchen and service were lost! Waiter was as if he came from a funeral ceremony, host man was a disaster. And the most bad thing was pricing, ie 152 euro for 2 persons without wine. Get a life people!!

“A severe case of split identity”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

The food at Hama is not bad, the problem is the service and the clients.
People act like they were running a famous restaurant in Hollywood or something like this, the only problem is that the only thing you will find there is a suburban group of wannabes.
The sushi is not bad - although it is also not that special - and it is served in a trendy fashion but the staff has too much attitude. Actually attitude is the key word for the place. Costumers are much more interested in flashing their new ipads than in eating. Hama is an attempt to recreate a Vogue magazine atmosphere that went very bad.
If you happen to be in the surroundings and decide that you want to eat sushi, give it a try. Otherwise don't bother driving all the way to Glyfada, there are much better sushi places in Athens. The sushi is not bad but avoid the tempura.
