OK, first the good news: all rooms have a view of the sea, and a few on the eastern end also look at the temple of Poseidon (ours on the first floor [second floor if you are American] did). The showers are great--they have those downpour shower heads. The bathrooms are good sized.
Now the other news: this hotel exists to service big tour groups. After spending our first night in Greece here, we learned to avoid this kind of place. The hotel's restaurant only makes packaged meals for the groups; the tavernas next to it are a better bet. But the really bad part was when we woke up at 5 am to the sounds first of a lot of doors shutting and suitcases being wheeled around, and then of furniture being dragged across a floor. We were upstairs from the restaurant, and not directly above it, but the sound carried. I thought maybe they were setting up for breakfast, which we were told was at 7. Then at about 5:45 the fire alarms went off. I figured I'd better check and went downstairs. The person at the desk said no, no fire. She seemed amused and offered no apology. I smelled burning toast and looked into the restaurant, which was filled with a German tour group of about 50 people. The noise we had been hearing was their chairs dragging across the floor. The tour group wanted to leave early, and breakfast had been served for them at 5:30.
The temple is worth seeing, but do not stay here.
