“Disappointed.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

Nice location but very poor service. We ordered two sandwiches and they arrived an hour later. My wife strained her ankle and the hotel had no first aid kit. The pool is nice and the area around it too.

Location was excellent, hotel staff polite and helpful, rich breakfast.
Negative details: yellowish shower curtain, room and common areas carpet dirty and worn, same for the walls, wooden sun beds and beach umbrellas not maintained recently and looked "tired", beach and pool staff not tuned in.
Would expect better on the above for 175 euros per night

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking at the parking obviously don't have a nice view and ours on the second floor h...

I would definetely not rate this hotel as one of the best I have stayed at but it is surely a hotel that proved to be very enjoyable. First of all the value for money is unbeatable throughout the hotels in the area. The sea view rooms are spacious, have a beautiful view and the furnishing is well balanced. Actually, "spacious" would be a word that would best define this hotel. The breakfast is varied and the evening piano performances are pleasant. The only really annoying thing about the hotel is that the internet, although free of charge, is almost non-existent. During the very few hours we have managed to connect to the network the access to the internet seemed one from the early existence of the internet, 32kbps phone dial connections.
Breakfast was included and good, generally speaking.

One last advice. When you travel to this hotel, either travel by car or rent one as taxis can be expensive.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

We visited the Plaza Resort Hotel in July 2013 with our 22 months old son.
That was the second time that we visited this hotel. The first one was one year ago, again for a weekend.

The main premises (reception, lobby, restaurant, garden) are luxurious and very clean.
We stayed in room 326 which has “parking” view. It was clean and the furniture was very nice. The bathroom was also clean and the equipment was new and in good shape. As a negative I would mention the small size of the room. Apart from the fact that we had a baby cot for our son and it reduced further the available space, the TV set and the entertainment box were placed on a table which was located on the down side of the bed and it was a bit difficult to pass from the one side of the bed to the other. There was also a very small balcony which, in my opinion should not exist at all. The chairs and the table were rather old and washed out by the sun. It was also a bit dirty from pigeons that were coming from time to time. Last year we stayed at a “Sea View” room which was much more comfortable and it worth every penny.
Pool area was really nice. A lot of sun beds were available and also the bar is 10 steps away so you can have anything you want easily.

Breakfast: The breakfast area is divided in two sections (Inside & Outside). During breakfast there were at least 15 waiters cleaning tables, serving customers and making sure that everything was working perfect. Everybody were really polite and willing to provide help. Regarding food variety and quality, the breakfast was great and with very few additions of local dishes and more fruits it would become excellent.

Parking: No problem with the parking area. There are also people helping you with the parking and luggage loading & unloading.

Beach: The beach is 50 meters away from the main building. The sun beds are for free and if you go between 9.00 – 9.30 you can have a pair of beds and umbrella just one step from the water. The water is nice and this area is considered to have some of the best beaches in the area of Athens. I would mention only the fact that even though there were 2 or 3 waiters walking around the beach it was hard to find them to make an order. So we were going to the bar and they were bringing only the bill to sign… (Strange).

Blue Restaurant: There is also one restaurant on the beach. Last year we had troubles to order and we have faced huge delays to receive what we ordered. However, this year the situation was much much better maybe because it was not 100% full. The people were very polite and helpful and the quality of the food was great.

Children area: There is also an area for children were they can play and have some fun. The condition of the equipment is very good and the whole area is covered with thick grass so a child cannot easily get hurt.

Generally speaking, this hotel is a very nice place to stay and have some great time with friends and family. We will visit it again for sure.

I must start this review by stating that this is NOT a 5* hotel by any standard. Having stayed in numerous hotels around the world I would place it in a standard 4 star category.
The only thing similar to a 5* hotel is its price range but this is something that a traveler must expect when looking out for a hotel in Attika. The real 5* hotels of the area have double Plaza's price.
My review is rather hard on this hotel just because they advertise themselves as a top hotel.
The check in procedure was fast and the reception staff very friendly, helpful and professional.
The room was rather small and the bed quite uncomfortable. I asked for a double bed which they promised that they will deliver with a slight time delay, but in vain. We had two twin beds attached to each other, with separate linen for each bed, which is definitely not the standard for a hotel of this price range.
The hotel was overall clean enough but outside our room, on the corridor floor, a room service tray was lying there for at least 8 hours before anyone picked it up.
The breakfast was just ok, with a mid-range selection of food and a dozen of hard working employees trying to cope with the busy restaurant of a Sunday morning. We had to wait for at least 15 minutes to be served coffee when it is so easy to have a self service coffee machine for the clientele!
There is a nice beach within the hotel premises with enough sun beds and there is a fairly big swimming pool too.
Overall the hotel is not bad but, as I wrote above, it is not a five star establishment.

I have stayed 3-4 time in this hotel over the past years. It's the best hotel in the area but closer to 4 than 5 stars.
The hotel has a private beach of good standards but also manages the nearby beach. and this is done in a terrible way. It is by far the worst beach in the area (and beyond) in terms of infrastructure. Dirty sun beds dirty non-functioning umbrellas . The worst experience by far. And the most expensive in the area. These people should loose their permit to exploit the beach.
I have to use this beach when all the other nearby are packed. And it's just getting worst year by year.

Great location but lacks the excellence and facilities of a proper 5* hotel/resort. Nice beach location but service a bit poor and slow. Rooms really nice with great beds and sea views (if you're lucky enough to get one).
