The third time we passed through Flores, we stayed at this hotel because we'd read good things here and it looked like the nicest place on the island. It does have excellent, friendly service, and a good restaurant. For 55US we got a tiny room that looked just like the others we'd stayed in. Cheap bed, cheap sheets, cheap pillows. This room's bathroom was actually part of the room, separated only by a partial wall -- a bit of a privacy issue for me. On the bright side the a/c was the coldest I'd ever experienced.

I stayed at the Casona de la Isla in July 2007 and it was wonderful. I The setting was enchanting, right on the lake.
In the evening you can witness the most amazing sunsets! The
hotel has a swimming pool, restaurant, internet service and is in a great location. The room had a fan and air conditioning, but was on the dark side. Try to have a room with a view of the lake.

This is a great little hotel for $50 a night. We stayed one night and found the staff to be helpful, the rooms are small, but clean and tidy - with great views over the lake. If you go to Flores, stay here

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night and were pleasantly surprised. The concierge was very friendly though they didn’t speak much English. There were 3 in our party and the room we got was surprisingly big. The room consisted of 3 double beds with ample room to walk around. The room also had air conditioning and the bathroom was very clean. The pool area looked clean and appealing, however, we didn’t get to try it out. I highly recommend this hotel for its good price and high quality. I will definitely stay here again if we come back.
