“Really enjoyed lunch and dinner meals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

The chicken dishes for lunch, dinner that I had here were cooked superbly, very filling and very fresh. I would make the effort to go back here to eat if in the area again. I had many of the 'eggs, beans, banana' breakfasts in Guatemala and this one wasn't memorable, serving was sparse, eggs too greasy so I wouldn't return for breakfast. Wifi was great.

“Great Food and WIFI”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2014

I ate here during a rainy night in Flores. I had the chicken with tamarind sauce. I enjoyed it although it was a little sweet for my taste. The vibe here was pretty relaxed.

“Ok coffee”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

Coffee was ok, nice staff but there was no-one in this cafe each time we walked passed it and we were the only customers when we stopped once for coffee.

“Try the Mayan dishes!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

We had a ancient Maya dish here (sorry don't remember the name), which was chicken in a tomato, onion and chilli sauce, and it was delicious! It was one of the best meals we've had on our trip, and the sides were very good also. The German owner is very friendly and let us read his upcoming book about Maya astrology. The restaurant has a good atmosphere also; the walls are decorated with old archeology photos. Nice!

“Great hotel on top of lovely cafe! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

The people here make all the difference! Dieter is a great owner, welcoming and helping travelers and able to speak fluent English, Spanish and German. There are 2 cooks, and both are great! Great local dishes but our favorite has to be the fresh fruit liquados de agua. Naranja, piña y Chaya. Mmm!!! They also run a Spanish school, dos mundos, and if you talk to Dieter he will help you decide the best plan to stay at the hotel and study or stay with a family while you study. We start school tomorrow and are looking forward to it very much!!! Learn, stay, play, drink, eat... You can do it all here!
