“Brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014 via mobile

This a quaint little find in old town McKinney and perfect for breakfast, lunch or brunch. We sat on the patio out front and watched people walk around town. The indoors was a little noisy, but typical for the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

“Dinner with friends”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

First time to eat there, atmosphere was good but live band too loud to enjoy conversation, but the food portion and taste was great, still all in all had a very nice time and couldn't complain about anything, good family dinning. The ability to walk around downtown McKinney was very nice too, very convenient.

“Food is good, but that's about all”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014 via mobile

I work near here and have eaten there many times. The food is always really good, but the service when I've eaten in has never been great and it's always very loud and crowded.

“Mediocre food at best”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2014

Tried Spoons for lunch and was pretty disappointed. The service was ok, as were the coffee drinks, but everything else was pretty miserable. The fried pickles/fried okra were soggy, and battered with an odd mixture. The panini was soggy as well, and there was virtually no taste. I would not recommend Spoons to anyone based off of our experience there.

“Service is always poor. Food is average.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

Is anyone managing this restaurant? Table and bar service is inconsistent and usually poor. Food can range from very good to average at best. Sunday Brunch buffet is poorly located and laid out. Food is average. Sandwiches and casseroles seem to be the place's strong suit--even then, nothing outstanding.

But the place is packed most of the time. The location and atmosphere are what make it. Still, for breakfast, lunch and dinner there are so many other good options.
