“Very good, a little overpriced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014

I had the Drunken Nut (bourbon pecan with shortbread crust) and my husband had the Cherry Bomb (two-crust cherry) and both were delicious. But since the slices were a little on the small side, I thought they were overpriced. The service was very good, and they were all very helpful and friendly. They also stay open later, so you can have a nice dessert after shopping or dinner.

“Just perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

It's small which adds to the atmosphere. The pies taste so fresh that they Re actually addicting. I suggest to eat one and then walk the historic downtown for 30 min!!

“Really great pies”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2014

Small cute little place that serves pies. That's it, though except for coffee, tea and hot chocolate. This isn't a complaint, because they do about 10 pies but they do them very well. They are great! Only complaint is that it gets really hot in the afternoon when the sun is in there and there is no seat with shade, so they should crank up the air. And the outside seating are very small tables really only fit for petite people. But great pies!

“Best Pies in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

Great place for pie, date or just a cup of coffee. Stopped in last week for dessert after a date. Had to go back yesterday and take the whole family. If you love chocolate, the Smooth Operator can't be beat. The pretzel crust absolutely makes it.

“Pie to Die For”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

Like pie? The Emporium is a must! Located at 107 S. Tennessee Street in McKinney, Texas; the emporium has a selection of fruit and cream pies that are absolutely incredible. Pies are available by the slice or the whole pie. (Personally, I go for the whole pie and do not share.) Unique names for these delights are the hallmark of this establishment. Pies are baked fresh each day and you can even add ice cream to your favorite. With names like “Java the Hutt” (flaky all butter crust, toffee layer, topped with smooth espresso filling) my favorite, Drunken Nut (bourbon pecan with shortbread crust), and Lord of the Pies (deep dish apple pie with cinnamon streusel); how could you go wrong. New pie flavors rotate in regularly so there is always a new one to try.
