“Great food. The Goat's cheese pizza is the best.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

This is technically a Mexican Restaurant, but they have so much more than the typical Mexican dishes that it is really hard to describe.

The Goat's Cheese pizza is a wonderful white pizza. Our other favorites, we eat here a lot when we are in McAllen, are the Deluxe Calzone, The Shrimp with Poblano cream sauce over pasta, the avocado salmon, and, of course, the Chocolate Fudge cake. The atmosphere is very pleasant, as are the decorations.

“Go During Happy Hour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

Our friends said they were taking us to their favorite restaurant in McAllen and we came here. We sat in the bar during happy hour, drinking very good $6.50 margaritas. We had an excellent waiter, who advised us to order another round before the cutoff time and he would bring them when we were ready. We moved to the dining room for dinner. We had seen huge pizzas being served in the bar, so my wife and I ordered a supreme. While the pizza was tasty, it was nothing like the one's we saw in the bar, very small for $14 and not enough for 2. One friend had a calzone that was huge and the other had smoked chicken. Both seemed to enjoy their meals. The restaurant interior and exterior has a pleasing Texas rustic appearance. There is a nice outside courtyard dining area with a fountain. By the time we left, it was full. As stated, our waiter in the bar was very good, while our waiter at dinner was a bit brusque when questioned about the pizza. I am giving a very good rating because dispite the issue with the pizza and dinner waiter we had an enjoyable time and any other menu choice would probably have removed the issues we did have.

“Just a little too little”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Overpriced, poor service and way to noisy. Unless you are twenty something, this is not a great dining experience.

“Great pizza!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013 via mobile

Pizza was perfect. We ordered the large (for 2 of us) and took half home with us! The small with a salad might have made more sense.

“Southwest with a gourmand's twist.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Loved the ambiance...sat on the outside patio in December, week before Christmas. They had an outside heater (but was not needed). The appetizers were stars! Finished with the most divine guacamole enchiladas, great flavor, not overpowering but not like the "mish mash" avocados that have no flavor that you normally get. Prices are moderate. One note- the patio is way too loud with the band playing, can't even hold a conversation. All in all, very good. EXCELLENT for lunch.
