Our adventure began with when we had a blowout just outside of Marshall. It was Easter weekend and after we figured out that out new car did not come with a spare tire we called a tow truck. The kid who showed up could not have been nicer and talked to my wife about everything from fishing to dirt car racing while he drive us to the only tire shop open that day. Luckily expert tire had the type tire we needed but they had to find and buy something to cut our old tire off the rim. Again, these guys were wonderfully nice and helpful. And this brings me to Cajun Tex.
When we found out that expert tire was going to be a while, we decided to get something to eat. The guys there suggested Cajun tex so we walked across the street, and were not let down. The food was excellent! Fried green tomatoes, dirty rice, Orleans fish, and catfish were all great but nothing compared to the service!
When we places our order, the girl (wish I knew her name) behind the counter asked what brought us in. My wife told her our story and the girl was very sweet about all of it. I just assumed she was a nice girl and a good waitress, but when we finished our food and left we were in for another pleasant surprise.
We were out the door and all the way to the street (about 20 yards from the restaurant) when we heard a girl yell wait, wait and come running out the door toward us. In her hand she held a white bag full of binets. She wanted to give them to us since we'd had such a rough day. I was shocked again by the hospitality and true kindness of everyone we met in marshall. What could have been a frustrating afternoon turned into a really nice evening!
