“High Art, awesome for anyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Even if you are not a follower of contemporary art, if you go here, I would be surprised if you find not come away impressed, awed and perhaps even productively confused. This offers an extremely rare experience, not only for this country but internationally as well.
The full tour costs $20 per person and takes about four hours; there is a break for lunch. In the area you can see the "Marfa Lights"; here you will experience the "Marfa Hi-Lights". If you are curious, go; you will remember this experience.

“Overblown”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

Interesting buildings and over-rated, repetitive art works, which are not worth the two-part all day tour. They do no offer the option of touring on your own, which would probably take an hour or two.

“Tour guide was great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

Looking at the art was nice but the guide was even better. Definitely worth looking at while you're in town. Its a small town and this is one of the few things to do but its good.

“One of the Coolest Things in Texas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

We basically detoured to Marfa just to see the Chinati Foundation. Love the words of Judd and Flavin and it was fantastic to see them in such a unique setting. We did the guided tour and enjoyed the insights our guide provided. The buildings are cool, and the art is absolutely amazing. I only wish it were easier to get to Marfa because I would love to see these things again at a different time of the year, with different light.

“If you want to understand minimal art....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

The rigid schedule for "tours" is a problem. But the Judd genius is compelling. Some of the installations by artists other than Judd are less interesting.
