“Great iconic Old time diner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013 via mobile

We ate breakfast, which is served all day. We both got the 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and Texas toast. You get your selection if meat and bread item. I have never seen Texas toast that thick!! If only it had been warm. Seemed too cool for me. Eggs cooked great. Coffee was great and small juice and milk were served in 8 oz. cups. Wish we could have saved room for the pie. They were showcased in glass iceboxes. Also saw Large donuts and cinnamon rolls that looked delicious!!

“Try The Pie”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

I would say that the pies and breakfast items are their specialties. We go occasionally for those menu items. Other items, such as the ones intended for lunch and dinner, are not quite as enjoyable. The servers are friendly and usually efficient. The place has history in Marble Falls. You should at least go once and say you've been there.

“Gotta go for the pie”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Drove a bit out of our way just to try the pies. Definitely worth the extra effort. This place knows what they're doing. Food is very good. Staff is very efficient yet friendly and helpful. Pies are phenomenal.

“Bluebonnet Cafe was a good choice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

We stopped 8/24 for dinner with the kids. We were able to be seated right away. There were plenty of options and we all ordered with the idea we would have pie for dessert. Just missed out on the Saturday Rib special. The food was good especially for the value (and selection). The pies were excellent. Meringue so light my wife's flew off her pie on the way to the table. Our server was ok. This is a cash only place. Clearly noted, but still an inconvenience in today's society,(everyone understands why some businesses prefer cash only). They do have an ATM if you forget cash. Ice water was served with limes vs lemons. We would go back especially for the dessert and the fact that it was a good place to bring kids.

“Treat Yourself to the Best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

If you are traveling on Texas Hwy 281 make time to stop at the Blue Bonnet Restuarant at Marble Falls. The food is fantastic and the pies are out of this world. Breakfast is always served for those of us that enjoys breakfast 24/7. The Blue Bonnet has been open since the 1920s. The years of operation will tell the traveler that the owners and staff are doing something right. Your taste buds will thank you for stopping here. Enjoy
