Haven't been to Lubbock or Harrigan's in over a year. Had read reviews that it was slipping. Decided to try anyway and we weren't disappointed. The bar was very noisy and crowded, so we opted for the dining room, which wasn't very busy at all. We remember Harrigan's margaritas from the "old days" years ago and they were as good or better than we remembered and a better value. We had a very capable and attentive server. Our steaks were served on sizzling platters with a seasoned butter sauce. I read some people found this off-putting, but we enjoyed it. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and really good pieces of meat. My husband had mixed veggies which was comprised of fresh, sauteed, broc, zuchinni and onions. He really enjoyed it. I had a very fresh well baked potatoe. The prices have gone up considerably in a year and I don't know anyone who would pay $14 for meatloaf. We felt the steaks were worth the price, but declined on appetizers and dessert. Have had delcious of both in the past, but couldn't justify the $9-12 price on each. I still enjoy the old-style "reading room" type decor and got a kick out of looking at old reader's digest condensed books and other old knick knacks.
