“Fun way to spend an hour or so!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

Ok, first let's call out that there is not a lot to do in Lubbock, so even this small museum gets a "very good" due to lack of competition. That said, this exhibit is interesting. Be sure to watch the movie to get a level-set on the Buddy Holly story. There are a few exhibits and photos. Best is the letter written from his parents to London agent. I recommend anyone visit when they are in Lubbock.

“Nicely Done!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Buddy Holly was such an influential talent and did so much before his untimely death at age 22. In a town that does not have much, they do have this one great claim to fame! See Buddy's original glasses that were recovered from Clear Lake! And don't forget to visit the Buddy Holly statue across the street!

“Buddy Holly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

It was an interesting walk back in time. Well worth waiting for it to open at 1pm on Sunday. We were surprised by what a clean, pretty downtown Lubbock has, and visited the very beautiful Texas Tec campus as well.

“Learned About Buddy's Influential Career”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

This is a very nice facility. I learned so much about Buddy that I was shocked to learn. For instance, Buddy was born Charles Holley. Everyone called him Buddy Holley. When he signed a record deal his name was misspelled and read Buddy Holly. Buddy didn't want to rock the boat so he signed Buddy Holly (without the "e") and that became his stage name. I won't tell you anymore so you can experience it first hand.
