We stayed 4 nights during the 2nd week of June. Overall the place isn't bad but there were a few issues. We arrived at 2:30 pm to an empty parking lot and empty lobby save the front desk staff. The girl at the front desk was pleasant enough but not exactly friendly. She said we would have to wait about 30 mins. A few minutes later 3 other car loads pull in. We can all check in but have to wait. The other guests rec'd their rooms before we did but they had 2 queen beds and we were waiting on a king. We did get our room about 3:15 pm or so. The other desk staff members were friendlier and a tad more helpful.
My husband's biggest complaint was the lack of consistent hot water for the shower. We only had hot water the first night and next morning. After that, it was lukewarm to warm for the rest of the week. I prefer really hot showers but considering temps were over 100 degrees all week, warm was OK with me but not for my husband. The housekeeping staff were nice and the room's general cleanliness was fine. I did notice they failed to vacuum next to my side of the bed (few crumbs from a midnight snack) one day but nothing to complain about. (One day something sticky was spilled in the elevator. It stayed sticky for a couple of days but was mopped clean before I could mention it to the staff). The tub in our room had a lot of rust along the bottom on both ends. Not a big deal but it looked like an ongoing problem because there was white caulking on top of the rust. Just seems like if you're going to the trouble to caulk, you'd try to get rid of the rust first. There was one cracked tile and one loose tile along the bottom of the bathroom wall and there were a couple of uneven floor tiles. The toilet handle worked although I thought it might fall off at any time. The bath looked well cleaned even if maintenance lacked a little. We had plenty of clean towels but on Saturday morning I was awakened by the housekeeping staff asking for my dirty towels. But when I asked for replacements, I was told the housekeepers cleaning the rooms would be by shortly. No big deal, I did have one clean towel left but if you're going to ask for the dirty towel, it would have been nice to offer a replacement at that time.
Breakfast was hit or miss but there was usually plenty of good tasting coffee. There was some sort of softball tournament going on so a couple of mornings the breakfast offerings were deleted by 8 or so. The hotel offered "scrambled eggs", meaning the pasturized kind, but they weren't bad and with the hot biscuit they were pretty good. Spouse said sausage wasn't too bad either. The lady managing the breakfast line was nice and did her best to keep things clean.
The bed was comfortable, had the usual 5 pillows for a king, and the linen wasn't frayed or worn. The comforter looked and smelled clean. The hotel has an inhouse laundry so linen seemed clean and fresh. There was a tear in the carpet under the desk and a non working floor lamp to go along with the lacking maintenance.
Overall, the stay was pleasant enough. Clean bed, cold a/c (definitely needed that week), and we didn't hear our next door neighbors at all except when they were in the hall. Wouldn't say things were perfect but not bad.
