“sheets with bloodstains, cockroaches and 2 cookies for breakfast”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

bloodstains on my sheets (not clean). yak. These people shouldn't run a hotel. Death roach in the bathroom and dougnuts and a chocolate cookie for breakfast. had to change the sheets myself. Hotelmanager acts if this is normal and hadn't got the guts to show his face in the morning. He send his son to check me out. Dont go this hotel unless you want to get sick.

Room was not very clean and looked tired, Wi-Fi range did not connect anywhere near the room. Had to sit in reception to use internet which wasn't the end of the world........but the breakfast the next morning was a joke.

All i could see was a plate of cookies and an empty coffee pot. That was it. After complaining, I got a cup of coffee and a sticky cake. Their excuse was that local regs made it very hard to supply anything else. I wouldn't mind but if you advertise breakfast - supply it.

Do yourself a favour and drive straight past this motel. There are plenty of other good motels which have better all round facilities.

This hotel is really hard to search for reviews and reports as it seems to have changed names several times through the years. I had my family ID it by uploaded traveler photos to make sure this was the one.
The first clue should be the signs that say "absolutely no refunds." This place is a ROACH MOTEL. I have family by marriage that travels cheap, and stays in places where I would not ever set foot in the room (it has to look and smell clean for me to step in to further inspect it), and they couldn't even deal with this one. They go to Livingston every year to visit family and participate in a local event nearby. They've stayed at this hotel before, like it because it's cheap. They thought the no refunds signs had to do with 'no pool' as the pool has been cemented in. The hotel has become overrun with roaches inside. My family had two rooms, one had a few bugs in the bathroom, the other room had baby roaches running on the wall, microwave, floor... At 1:30 am one family member lost it after swatting and stomping roaches for hours and went out to the car for the rest of the night. Immediately he observed a family check in and then haul butt within 30 minutes, hollaring "C'mon let's get out of here NOW". Upon inquiring at the desk if the health department had checked this place the front desk advised that they had recently had an exterminator come out, and that they have it done all the time. They thanked them for letting them know, but of course, nothing was offered to make up for the problem and night of hell. Everyone is exhausted from no sleep and the creeps. Bags sat outside in the sun all day and once home tied up in garbage bags outside, clothes in the hot wash and dryer immediately. Everyone swears they were roaches and not bedbugs but not taking chances - what a hassle worrying about it! I have another family member who, after staying at this hotel last year, refuses to go to this event anymore - this family member complained there were 'bugs' at this hotel last year.

The pics of this place are deceiving. We arrived, were told the restaurant/cafe had been closed for 2 yrs but the sign company hasn't taken the signs down and got our room. Our room smelled weird. Wasn't a cleaning odor. The room was old, the furniture was filthy and the room was not vacuumed. Needless to say, we checked in and out rapidly. We went down the road a slight bit further and checked into the Hampton Inn and had a wonderful experience. If you can afford the extra $, skip the Lake Livingston Inn.

We booked the Lake Livingston inn because the web-site photos were good and we didn't have a whole lot of choice. When we arrived I knew we were in trouble when upon check-in we were given our remote for the TV and one key. There were children standing in the lobby dripping wet from the pool.
Overall the motel was clean and the landscape suitable. However...the room only had one towel and one washcloth. Our room had me, my husband, and two daughters. I went to the desk and asked for additional towels and was told by the front desk that all the towels were dirty and until the maid "did some wash" there were not any. As luck would have it....we had brought 4 beach towel in case we dicided to go swimming so we used them.

  • Liked — It seemed sate.
  • Disliked — No towels!
