“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Front Desk staff was excellent, they were very helpful and checked me in quickly. They were friendly and made my stay enjoyable. Rooms were clean and the room was comfortable and very nice. Breakfast was good, nice variety and nice eating area with plenty of seating for everyone.

We stayed here on a Thursday night before a Friday morning Disney Cruise out of Galveston. It was a very nice, clean Hampton. It only took 30 minutes to drive to the Port. Lots of shopping nearby for those last minute items you might need. My only complaint was that we knew my son left his blanket in the bed, and we called the hotel and they said they didn't find it. I don't know why someone would want to take a kids spider man blanket but they did??

We always stay here when we visit our kids in League City. It is very clean and comfortable and the breakfast is always good. We always feel welcome when we stay here. And it is close to any shopping or restaurants. We especially liked Jimmy Changas mexican restaurant which recently opened next door.

We were on our way to cruise out of Galveston and booked this hotel. We arrived and the girl at the desk told us our room wasn't ready. She informed us that check in wasn't until 4 and it was almost 3:30. Mind you we had made the reservation well in advance and was paid for, she then offered us a double room instead of king that we had paid for. We had been in traffic for a long time and told her we just wanted to sit so we would wait in lobby. She promptly found us a king room, but it was on the 3rd floor. We like ground floor. We agreed to take room, but wasn't too pleased with our first encounter. We got into the room and it was not as clean as I like to find rooms. It was dusty and the bathroom had several places that weren't really clean. We took the room anyway and after all the traffic we had been though just sat and tried to enjoy.
Later that evening we went to get some food, asked for directions and neither girl seemed to be able to help us so we used our cell phone to find somewhere to eat. Just not impressed with the help. Not so helpful! Next morning had breakfast, the lady keeping it going was to busy talking to the desk girl to realize the decaf coffee was spitting out grounds. I told her and interrupted her visiting. Sorry, but we won't be staying at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Don't think they exist at this hotel.

We often cruise and leave out of Galveston, TX. We have been unhappy with the quality of rooms in the Galveston area (they are well used by the college and beach crowd). We decided to try a hotel in nearby Leauge City, TX which is less than 25 miles from the port of Galveston. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff was welcoming. We left the hotel at 9:30 and were at the port shortly after 10 AM! If you cruise out of the port of Galveston, consider the League City Hampton Inn, clean, quiet and comfortable and reasonably priced.

Hotel is amazing as is the staff. Hotel is only two years old but every aspect looks brand new. The only down side if you even consider it so, is the location on the freeway and its access to go Southbound.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

We stayed two nights recently while visiting relatives. The hotel appears to be new, and the whole place was very clean. Our room was standard Hampton (good). The beds were very comfortable, and the temperature was easy to control. We were there when there were few guests, and our room overlooked the pool area. It was quiet and very pleasant. There were a couple of negatives. One was the speed of the internet---extremely slow, even in the business center. The other was the breakfast room which is on the small side and didn't have enough four top tables.----Lots of tables for two and a table for a large family. The breakfast was less appealing than we have experienced at other Hamptons. The first morning we had eggs with small bits of steak, peppers, etc., sliced smoked sausage (not the breakfast kind), and seasoned cubes of potatoes---none of which were very hot. The next day we had cheese omelet, Canadian bacon, and French toast strips---again, not very hot. The coffee bar was located outside of the dining area in front of the sign in desk, which would be inconvenient if there were several families trying to check out during breakfast hours. The hotel is easy to access, as it is on the feeder road on the east side of IH 45. The staff is very friendly. We would stay there again--although not wildly enthusiastically.
