Capataz restaurant shares its parking lot with the Quinta hotel and a bigger, more popular restaurant called palenque grill. It's a little hidden and could be confused with a small bar. As you walk in however, you are greeted by the friendliest hostess that does his best to accommodate your preferences. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere with rustic decor and a full bar as its main point. The menu is not extensive, but you do get plenty of good choices. I tried the prime rib that day and my friends tried the burger and the fish tacos. Well the chef must have been in love that day because all dishes were perfect! We never order dessert but from the quality of our food we had to break our diets and try some. We tried the cheese cake. They brought it in a jar with fresh fruit and honey as a topping. The jar was large so we had to spoon into heaven. Best cheesecake since New York. We finished out night with a couple rounds of good tequila while listening to the mixture of old and new music from different genres. Our waiter kept making us laugh all night. Obviously this was one of the best experiences all around and I will definitely keep coming back for more!!!
