“So glad this old ship is still around!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

My husband and I have been on a couple of other retired battleships and this one was really showing its age, which was delightful as well as disappointing. Most disappointing was the restroom conditions. Most exciting was how high up on the outside of the ship you can climb.

“Wonderful History”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

The Battleship Texas is a wonderful piece of history that deserves to be preserved. It is a rare opportunity to explore a battleship and see how the sailors lived and worked.

“Grab Your Guns!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2014

This tour lets you see the entire ship, climb pretty high, see the galley where food was made, sit in an antiaircraft gun, and actually move it around.

“Good for Teenager Family and History Buffs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

Took the family there in December 2013 - Loved the history and insight into how our fighting men lived onboard one of these huge boats. Actually pretty small compared to what we have today.

Young children want to run around and this is not exactly the safest place to turn them loose with all of the hard surfaces. Older children would do much better. The ship, history and exhibits were fantastic and thank goodness for a great husband who chased the kids while I could take it all in.

Would recommend!
