First time, stayed two nights, did not want to leave property. When price of meals is considered, the tariff is not unreasonable. Did not care for first night menu, second night was excellent (personal preference). Nice kitties, beautiful garden - got good ideas for home application (kudos to the gardener). Rooms contained all amenities plus some.

My husband gave me this trip as a Mother's Day gift. We very much enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The food was great (portions are small) and the cookies were to die for! The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

Wimberly's shopping is just 15 mins away. Take snacks, becuse there really aren't many stores in the area. They provide coffee, sodas and other beverages for the guests. Since it's a dry county, you have to bring your own wine, beer, but it was fun to talk about the wines with other guests who did bring it.

I would stay again in a heartbeat. The only suggestions I have is to provide cookies in the room and/or snacks for those of us that watch movies!

The room was great the only thing that was negative it was in the third floor. It was ok for me but for my mom not so good. We loved the food and everything about the Inn. Wish we had more time.

We would highly recommend the inn above onion creek for any occassion. The inn is located close to many of the "must see" towns of the Hill Country.

Just got back from a guick getaway from this Charming B&B. We are already planning a trip back in the Winter. We enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners. We had never stayed in an Inn where Dinner is included and I must say this was a nice change from what we are used to. We stayed in the Hays Room, which was very spacious. The Shower, room enough for two, was very romantic, if you enjoy taking showers with your significant other. The Whirpool tub was also very romantic. Everyone at the Inn was very friendly. We enjoyed Lee, the gold lab. and Bootsie and Nigel the Inn Cats. They made sure we never strayed far from the Inn or got lost. If you are in need of a quick getaway or even a long stay, this is the place to relax and unwind. Can't wait to return.

We booked several rooms at the Inn for a small family reunion and it was absolutely perfect. From the peaceful setting, beautiful pool area, wonderful meals, excellent furnishings and very helpful and friendly owners/staff, I honestly cannot think of one thing that I would recommend that would have realistically improved our stay. The setting is perfect for a small reunion - there is loads of space for long walks, ample common areas for visiting, and if you must leave the property for any reason the owners give you first rate information and recommendations.
Fabulous A+

I found this inn by accident while searching the internet for a romantic getaway in Hill Country. I quickly checked the reviews on Tripadvisor, and booked right away at the last minute. There was only one room left available, The Kyle Room. It was a great room!

This inn is a little remote, yet close to many great things to see, which is what makes it so great! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and our room was immaculately clean! Room was spacious and very comfortable, with extra amenities that make you feel at home. Lots of books, and magazines, high end toiletries, huge, fluffy and soft towels, lush bedding and linens, chocolates, etc. Our room had a cozy gas fireplace, large tub for two, king size bed, large bath area with two sinks, shower, table for two, and private deck overlooking the hillside. We enjoyed beverages on the deck, and watched a beautiful sunset.

One of our favorite things about this inn is the food! We are talking about gourmet, 3 course dinner of Crab cake, prime rib with augratin potatoes and asparagus, and creme brulee for dessert! Wow!!! There are also soft drinks, bottled water, coffee, tea and cookies available 24 hrs. Dinner is served "dinner party" style, so you get to meet and eat with the other guests of the inn. We brought our bottle of wine that we had purchased at one of the wineries, and had it with dinner. The next morning, breakfast was served between 8:30-10. It is not a buffet! It is made fresh for you when you get there, and presented hot to your table. There is coffee, fruit and breads for you while you wait (not long). We had French toast with cranberries and syrup (yum!), scrambled eggs, and sausage. When you consider the meals that are served here, the price of your room is a great deal!!! There is no need to leave the inn once you arrive.

There is a library with music and movies that you can borrow, and take back to your room. Every room has a CD player, and DVD player.

We visited several wineries in the area. The inn is a great home base for visiting these areas. I am sure we will return again!
