“GORGEOUS leather crafts...MORE interesting than the tour of King Ranch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

Besides being able to see a lot of beautiful leather work and loads of expensive goodies, you can learn a lot about leather! There is a sweet gentleman who works in the shop restoring old saddles and crafting new ones. They are amazing and he was really great to talk to. He talked to us about how long he had worked there, how long the saddles last, what type of leather they use, etc. It was super interesting! WAY better than the tour of King Ranch, itself.
My husband grew up in Kingsville and all of the cool gals at school always had KR purses. So during our Mother's Day weekend trip to Kingsville, we went to the shop and he bought me a LOVELY King Ranch tote in Rio Latigo, which is like a strong camel color and very versatlie. It's almost a year old now and it's held up well. I adore it.

“Overpriced tourist attraction”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

Visited the store in conjunction with a stop at the ranch. Found the merchandise to be of good quality but way overpriced. Staff was very pleasant however. Good place to look, but as another reviewer mentioned many items produced overseas and overpriced.

“Great place to buy quality Western wear (and have a saddle repaired!)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

This was a very nice retail store in a town that has seen better days. Great inventory and reasonable prices.

“Always worth a look, but bring your credit card.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

I was born and raised in Kingsville, TX, and the locals have always supported anything having to do with the King Ranch. This store is beautifully decorated and their staff is extremely friendly. However, their merchandise (aside from their handcrafted leather goods) are overpriced. While they can be unusual, many items come from India or China and are priced too high. Their furniture is very ornate and probably can't be used in most American type homes - not to mention, you would need to love western decor. If you are visiting this area, it's definitely worth going into.
