“Fine to casual dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Eat inside or out (weather permitting) good service and food. In my opinion, one of the better places to dine in Kerrville.

The old train depot that houses Rails is unique, but a bit small. Great history of by gone days. Been there many times, very consistent.

“Wonderful time!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

My husband and I were having drinks at Azul in downtown Kerrville and wanted to grab dinner. The bartender suggested we go to Rails. Our server Carissa was fantastic. We were STARVING and didn't have to wait long for anything. We decided to eat appetizers and soups and then order entrees and desserts to eat later in the night and the next day. We had the spinach spanakopita. We also had the soup of the day and the caprese salad. Everything was wonderful. The bread was really tasty and even the beers were very cold. To go, we ordered chicken penne with an alfredo sauce and the strip and spinach and mashed potatoes. Everything was fantastic. For dessert we tried the chocolate cake with peanut butter icing and crushed reeses in it. My husband loved it. We also tried apple turnover. This was also fantastic. All in all this place was fantastic. Great atmosphere. Great selection. And great service. Would highly recommend.

“Great Food and Even Better Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

Six of us had dinner at Rails on October 12. The photo of the exterior doesn't do the place justice. We arrived just at dusk. The outdoor lighting and atmosphere are welcoming and a little magical, and the atmosphere indoors was enhanced by live classical guitar music. We received attentive, friendly, but not intrusive service throughout our meal, as the staff went above and beyond in serving our little party, while being sensitive to the diverse needs and expectations of each individual. The house wine was good, the meal was leisurely, and the delicious food was served promptly and at the right temperature.

“Always tasty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

I love this place! The food and atmosphere are both great. But I find myself eating the same salads, time after time, because they are so delicious. One of these days I will branch out. Maybe. I love to eat at Rail's.

“A must eat at place!”

Great service, great new item, chicken and portabella mushrooms. Topped off with homemade chocolate cake with a peanut butter icing. Yum!
