“My local BBQ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2012

Looking at other local reviews I thought I should jump in. Buzzy's has been in Kerrville a very long time. They have grown from a small bbq joint to a cafateria style resturant with an additional great room for events. I love their sauce as it is not overpowering so that you still get the flavor of the meat. Besides the usuals they have a stuffed baked potatoe that you select the stuffing that is enough to feed two. They also have a great salad bar. Their sweet tea is the best in town. I too find ALL bbq places a little pricey but this is the signs of the economy. I love his bbq.

“Large portions, reasonable price.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2012

Buzzie's gives a large portion of meat on sandwiches, usually enough meat to make two sandwiches from one. Brisket and turkey are usually tender. I don't care for the sauce. It is very thin and makes the bun immediately soggy. Prices are reasonable - BBQ is just expensive now. Buzzie's is not the best BBQ ever; it's not bad, just not remarkable. If you are nearby and want a big brisket sandwich and a lemonade - you will probably be satisfied.

“Great meal at reasonable price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2011

We were 2 couples and had the family dinner for 4. We got TWO pounds of meat (you can choose or combine from a variety of meats) plus potato salad, coleslaw, b-b-que sauce etc. all for $40.

“Very good bar-b-que!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2011

My wife and I ate at Buzzie's Bar-B-Que on a trip across country via IH10. The restuarant was recommended by the locals at the motel where we stayed. Both the brisket and half chicken were very good. The bar-b-que sauce was outstanding. Depending on where you live (in-state or out-of-state), may depend on how you view the prices. The meat with two sides cost about $10 per person, but the portions were large and generous. The resturant is not fancy, but clean and efficiently run. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. You order your food at a counter and take it to a table. We enjoyed it so much that we made it a point to stay in Kerrville on our return home and again ate at Buzzie's. The sausage was excellent.

“chalky!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2011

I purchased a chopped beef sandwich and it had a very chalky taste, as if flour had been mixed in. Was terrible!
