“First class joke!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

First of all the pictures are nothing like the real hotel, We book in December for our weekend the end of April 2013, we were givin a price of $83 when we arrived they tried to charge us $139 we were told that the hotel had a new ower as of January and they were under no obligation to honor the old owners prices. after some arguing we did get the room for $99. the rooms were horrible, we got a double room, one of thr bed felt like it was going to fall when I sat on the end, their was long dark hair all over the room, their was somthing growing in the corner of the tub-shower, the other room was even worse the tolit backe up the sink was slow to drain, their was crums all over the floor from where oneone had eaten in the room and the carpet was not cleaned, and the worse was the stains on the sheets it looked like the sheets had not been changed from the guest before us, so do youself a favor and bypass the Passport Inn in Kemha.

We regret that your stay with us was at the least unsatisfying. At this time we are under new management and we are currently updating our rooms and furniture. We have a new hard working maid service to guarantee a comfortable and clean stay. Again, we are extremely sorry and we look forward to improving our customer satisfaction. We appreciate your time and feedback.

Participated in the KEMAH TRIATHLON - made reservation way in advance. Used Passport Inn as it was the closes hotel to the start line of the triathlon. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!! We had the king suite - where do i begin...the clerk told us that the door was stuck and that we would have to kick it a few times at the bottom to get it to open. As we went up 3 flights of stairs we noticed rotted ceilings, exposed beams, trash. Yes, we had to kick the door and it was evident that many had kicked the door before us as the lower right hand corner was severely bent. Dead and alive crickets all over. coffee pot encrusted with coffee sludge all over. One station on the TV. Three lights did not work. Telephone did not work - guess that kept you from calling the front desk to complain. Even when we called on our cellphone, the clerk would not answer. Dirty toilet with fecal matter on it. Drapes torn and rotted. Sheets not washed with smell of other humans on it!!! . What a total rip off. We could not leave as all hotels in the area were sold out for the Triathlon. The place should be condemned. Plus they jacked the price up for the triathlon - what a total nightmare.

The hotel was literally falling apart! The flooring from the 3rd floor was sitting in a pile on the second floor just outside of the rooms! Toilet was full of human feces, fire alarm was taken down and wires hanging from ceiling. Electrical problems: ceiling fan lights were not burnt out, but not working, air conditioner unit coils exposed to a few rooms, owner told me, that most units the lights don't work in ceiling fans and my husband could take down the ceiling fan and fix the wiring. I was given keys to 3 different rooms and all of them had major problems. This hotel is a hazard. The rooms I went in on inside and outside needed major renovations and the owner was very rude. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Please, just because it is close to the boardwalk, please check it out before you pay and stay at this hotel. The young girls working at the front desk were scared of the owner but were very considerate and understanding.

Room Tip: Please spend a little more and find a clean and safer hotel to stay at!

We stayed here because it was pet friendly. When we got to the room, there was a large stain on the carpet in front of the door, but we didn't think anything of it. Our dog went with us just about everywhere, and when we had to leave him behind, we put him in his crate. When we checked out, the man at the front desk insisted on doing a walk-through, even though there wasn't one done when we checked in. He tried to charge us for the stain on the carpet, blaming it on our dog. We told him it was there when we got there. He said he didn't know because he just started working there last week. We told him to call and ask his manager but he refused to bother him on a Saturday. After 30 minutes of arguing, he finally gave in. He should have done a walk through of the room next to us, which had 14 drunk people in it.

Not a bad location though :)

When we checked in, we asked for a nonsmoking room and got a smoking room. The sheets were stained, there was a dead cockroach on the floor, and an old mini tube of toothpaste on the floor by the vanity area. The floor is not level so when laying down you head is slanted down. (If you have reflux, I suggest sleeping with your head at the foot of the bed. At least in room 107) Bed very uncomfortable and very thin pillows; I would bring one from home and another blanket. The location was great. Very short walk to the boardwalk.

Room Tip: bring extra pillows

the first problem I came accross was the manager took the room price out of my account twice then proceeded to lie to me about it until I went to my bank to confirm the transaction's. When we got to the hotel I found the room I had reserved was not the room I got even though the reciete clearly stated what I had reserved. The room was kept clean. the manager was rude and avoided my question's and from that point on avoided me completly. I will not stay at that hotel again and would not suggest it to anyone.

Room Tip: do not stay at this hotel

We are retired educators and were looking for a one night stay. We booked our room and then our husbands read the reviews and wanted us to get out of it. We called and found that it had recently been bought by a new person and that they were cleaning and renovating. We decided to chance it. Robbie and Tabitha were there to greet us, they are the receptionist and manager. The owner was in the premises and they all scurried around to get us the cleanest and safest room possible. Yes, it was old, but we had a delightful night on the Boardwalk, and a safe and comfortable night sleeping. Everything was nice and clean, and I know that we would stay there again.
