“consitently good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2012

The food is good. We like going there as long as we can sit outside as the inside is always too smoky.

“New Location rocks - good bar food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2012

Burgers are very good. Enjoy some of the cajun influenced food as well. The salads are large and fresh. We often do business team lunches here.

“Pleasantly Surprised! Friendly Service and Great Food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2012

You have to go through the bar to reach the back seating area so the smoke was a turn-off. Mr. Duplantis met us at the door with a smile and encouraged us to try the dinner seating. Glad we did. Becca offered specials, suggestions and samples and we needed them since their menu has so many offerings! The owner Kellie came out to check on us and brought samples of gumbo and crawfish bisque. Killer! Fish tacos were huge and we had to get a to go box for the rest of our shrimp quesadilla. We live over an hour away, but we'll be back next time we are close. Thanks for a great experience!

“The new location is much better!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2011

Our family has been going to Borders for years. The staff is friendly, the food is good, and the prices are very reasonable. They make great queso (Scotty’s dip), blackened fish, and the burgers are good. The new location does not have the sandbox, but they have some arcade games for the kids and the place is much nicer and clean.

“AMAZING!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2010

I just had to give my opinion on this place. I've been coming here since the restaurant opened in the 90's and I've yet to find a casual/family restaurant that can top it! You can often find a band playing on the weekends and they have an awesome happy hour. I have tried almost everything on the menu and haven't tried anything that I have not liked! The owner Kellie Messer is wonderful! You'll often find her roaming around on the weekends socializing with customers and making sure everything is running smoothly. I'm estatic to have manager, Don, back @ Borders after an extended absence, his sense of humor was def missed! If you have children its a perfect restaurant to let them play outside and let the adults throw back a few and have adult time. I can't stress enough how much we love this place and look forward to another great 10 years as patrons of Texas Borders! Yee-haw!
