“Nice and Quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

This motel worked out great for me. I was traveling to the Hill Country and needed a place close by to stay. This motel was reasonably priced so that was a plus too. You are 10 miles from Junction and 40 miles from Kerrville so it is not you are in the middle of nowhere. Since there is nothing around except for the Truck Stop next door, it is very quiet and peaceful. The hotel clerk and the maintenance guy were friendly and helpful. I stayed two nights and had no issues with security. If you are needing a place to stay just to get some rest, this is the place. I saved a $100 a night by staying here vs. Kerrville.

Less than average location, even though the road-house café in walking distance was a good meal and great service. The rooms were large , but dated . Breakfast was not worth eating and if you are in the area stay in Junction instead

Room Tip: another hotel

A very clean very comfortable very affordable motel! Easy in, easy out, park at your door. Exceptionally nice and helpful manager/owner. Nice and welcoming! Continental breakfast. Good truck stop restaurant next door is a bonus! Serves food 24 hours, so you have motel, gas, food, all at one stop and one very low price! This Econo Lodge will be one of my stops when I'm traveling through West Texas!

I had made a reservation ahead of time and checked in very late at night. I was happy to see that there was someone at the front desk waiting for me and got me into my room very quickly. None of the usual after hours dance of bouncing around to different entrances trying to wake up the sleeping desk employee. My bed was comfortable and appeared be clean, there was a fridge and a coffee maker. There's a continental breakfast starting at 8 a.m. What more could you want when you just need a place to stop on the way through the West Texas no-man's land?

I was traveling alone and the hotel was VERY quiet, so I was happy they put my room next to the office. The parking area is well lit and I felt very safe.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

We had a blow out on a long trip. We were hot, tired and hungry and found this little gem. The owners of this little hotel are super nice. The hotel is a rocks throw from I-10 west bound and is still quiet. The showers were the right temp. and great water pressure. The a/c is super cold. The only bummer was the TV didn't get good satellite signal, but we were too tired to watch anyway. The rooms were very clean and the sheets and towels were soft and clean as well.
If you are looking for a quiet place to sleep while traveling I-10 i recommend. The truck-stop next door has a restaurant with great breakfast (pretty expensive though).

2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2011

Stayed here once before but service this time not too good. The rooms are typical budget quality. Everything worked and was clean but showing signs of old age. Hot water line shrieked when water ran for the shower - at least it will wake you up! Bed was comfortable enough but didn't like the pillows. No one at front desk in morning and looked like no one had put out breakfast items, meager as they are.

This is a clean, inexpensive place to stay. Dish or DirectTV is great because there isn't much else to do in the area. During hunting season, the rates drop even more.
