“Very Good Burger, Great Looking Pies”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

Having heard horror stories about the long waits, we were a bit reluctant to have lunch here. Turns out there is bit of a wait, but we had such a friendly waitress, we overlooked it. Burger was not the absolute best ever, but was still quite tasty. Only wish we had been able to save room for pie. They looked wonderful!

“Best Homemade Pies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

We visited The Hamburger Store twice when we were at Jefferson back in Early Nov. I had the Jeffersonuletta, a version of Muffuletta, and it is so much better than the one Jason's Deli serves. The pies are to die for and service was outstanding. Will sure to go back to visit if we are in the area.

“Good Food and Good Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

My daughter and I really enjoyed this restaurant. My daughter is allergic to wheat and it is very hard to find a place to eat, but she does enjoy burgers without the bun. We liked it so well, we ate there both nights that we were in town. The first night, she had a mushroom and swiss burger without the bun and sweet potato fries, and it looked great, loaded with mushrooms and she said the fries were really good too. I had the Jeffersonuletta, a version of Muffuletta. It was one of the best I have had, the olive tapanade was made with green olives and it was wonderful. The second night she had a Frito pie, and I had a hamburger steak dinner, both were good.

They have a large menu and mile high pie. We were too full to try the pie, but it did look excellant.

Although it looked packed from the cars outside, there was plenty of seating inside and the staff was friendly, fun and efficient. We had different servers each night and they both were great. The decor was a little different, the walls were covered in dollar bills, people had signed.

I would recommend this to anyone and will definately be back next time I am in town.

“Passable place for dinner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Nothing much was open the evening we were there, and we opted for this almost empty restaurant rather than a packed place down the street that was so smokey and noisy that we could not stay. I suspect that we would have enjoyed the food better at the other place, but we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Hamburger was just OK. Fried catfish was all right.

“Average Burger”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

The fries were greasy and soggy and the burger was burnt.
The service was very slow. The soda had lost its fizzle.
