Wonderful food, bountiful servings, good sides (plus plenty of sliced raw onions). You'll have to find one of those open pit BBQ places northwest of Austin, in the Hill Country, to find BBQ that can complete. The bad news is -- Stacy's has limited business hours. The good news is -- it's darn well worth altering your schedule to dine here! While the brisket can be a little dry sometimes, everything else is spot-on. The smoked turkey is unexpected, but it's sliced thin, is soft on the tongue, with just the right amount of BBQ flavor. They mix their own BBQ sauces, and there is one (name escapes me) that is a good mix of sweet and tart. The dining room is nothing special, but it provides direct access to the self-serve soda machine. All in all, a great find in a small east Texas town that otherwise is short on good restaurants.
