“A convenient location to the airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

This hotel is about 15 minutes (depending on traffic) from DFW. It sits along a strip of road that has a large number of restaurants, some within walking distance and many within a 10 minute drive. It also sits very close to a large movie theatre complex. Cowboy's Stadium, the baseball park for the Texas Rangers and the 6 Flags amusement park are all within about 20 minutes. So, a very good reason to chose this hotel is how convenient it is to so many things.

The hotel is clean and comfortable sporting all the expected Hampton Inn amenities. The staff was kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay greatly.

Room Tip: The hotel has a bit of an unusual shape for a Hampton. The lobby sits in an interior atrium that is...

Nice place near the airport. Great beds. When we arrived, we had 5 heavy bags. Hymmie quickly came to help us and was so friendly and kind, he represented the hotel very well. Our room was very clean comfortable. Pretty furnishings. we left our car there and they took us to the airport and picked us up. Great service.

High quality motel, very close to DFW airport. Easy to get to and leave. Reception desk was always manned and helpful. Beds comfortable, breakfast much better than average motel fare. Would stay here again when in Dallas.

It's often the little things that can make a big impact on the customer experience.

If you travel a lot, and stay in a different hotel each night, it can be easy to forget your room number, especially if your more of a visual person; a person who remembers pictures better than numbers.

That's why I really appreciate what Hampton Inn has done with the room numbers in their hotels - they've added a unique black and white photograph next to the number. So if you have trouble rembering if your room was 323 or 332, you'll probably find it a lot easier to remember the photo of the farmer riding the tractor. I had the room with the adirondack chair on the sun-drenched lawn.

When I go to sleep in a hotel, I like to keep my cell phone on the night stand, and use it as an alarm clock. And I also like to keep it plugged in, to begin the next day with a full charge. But I've found that most hotels don't have enough outlets for charging all our digital stuff.

But this particular Hampton Inn mounted a cluster of outlets and USB charging ports right above the nightstand.

Visual room numbers andU SB ports by the nightstands aren't exactly big enhancements like hot breakfast bars or state-of-the art fitness centers. But they're big in two ways:

They're simple solutions to common problems - USB ports by the nightstand may not be glamorous, but they're exactly what I needed.

They're memorable - black and white photos may not transform the Hampton Inn into a luxurios hotel, but they do trigger memories, and stir curiosity - I dare you to walk down the hall to the elevator, without looking to see what photos accompany the other room numbers.

Here's thet point:

When designing your customer experience, ask yourself if each element fits at least one of the following:

1. Is it useful to the customer?

2. Is it memorable for the customer?

Design your experience to give customers more reasons to use your service, and more reasons to remember it.

With an Atrium and suite rooms this property probably started off as an embassy suite. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was standard HI with eggs and fruit. This hotel was very close to the airport which is great for early more flights out of DFW. I would stay here again when I need to fly out of DFW.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor to avoid footsteps above you while sleeping.

Excellent hotel that is better than many at twice the price. The restaurant next door is meant for young meat-eaters, though. We tried it because of the 10% discount for people staying at the Hampton.

The style is different from the usual Hampton Inn and is very charming. An employee named Adrain was so helpful and kind. He offered me discount tickets for meals at the restaurant next door. By the way that is a great place to eat. While waiting for my Granddaughter we had a lively conversation. Later that night after seeing a performance at Winspear Opera House in Dallas, Adrain greeted us with bottles of water. My room was number 400 which is high above an open lobby yet very quiet and convenient to the glass elevator, ice machine, and work out room. All the employees were so nice. The room was spotless.

Room Tip: Inside rooms above lobby are more private.
